Great amount of product, smelled/tasted great in teas and baking.
Exactly as expected, it was a huge bag of cinnamon. They smelled fresh and delicious, good texture, and the size made them easy to add to a pot and to grate into a powder. Shipping did not damage them so they were durable and packaged well. The flavor is a little hot, as good cinnamon should be.

Fabulous deal
This is the best deal you'll find on cinnamon sticks. I was afraid the price was too good to be true but I am very pleased with the quality, aroma, quantity and flavor.

No scent, no taste: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
As other reviewers have pointed out... These have no scent. And they give off no taste when used in cooking. When I open a 1.5 lb bag of cinnamon sticks, I expect to be - AND I SHOULD BE - overwhelmed by the scent of cinnamon.I was not, when I opened these. In fact these had no scent at all. But I thought, okay, maybe the plastic bag they were in was too porous to scent, or something, and all the scent dissipated in shipping. I was planning to use them for making chai from scratch (along with green cardamom pods, black peppercorns, fennel seed, star anise bits, and black tea), so I took a bunch of these out & stuck them in a mason jar I keep handy on the kitchen counter, & put the rest in my pantry. I figured if they were in a solid, non plastic, glass and metal jar, their scent would not permeate the glass or metal, so then when I opened the jar of cinnamon sticks, I'd get that great cinnamon smell.A few days later, I opened the mason jar of these cinnamon sticks to make some chai... And there was zero scent. Nothing. But still I thought, well, maybe once they're boiling away, they'll release their scent (and taste). So I continued making the chai. No cinnamon scent. In fact, I used 6 of these cinnamon sticks where normally I'd only need 1-2 cinnamon sticks. And STILL in the chai - while making it, and once it was finished - there was NO scent or taste of cinnamon. AT ALL.I don't know what these are - SOME kind of tree bark, that much is clear - but they are NOT cinnamon. They are not canela (aka Mexican cinnamon aka cinnamomum verum)... nor are they cinnamomum cassia (Chinese cinnamon). These are basically odorless, tasteless dried, curled tree bark of some kind - but it is NOT any species of cinnamomum.I should've believed the reviews that said "This isn't cinnamon!" and "No scent!"If you're looking for cinnamon sticks, do yourself a favor: do NOT buy these. Go to your nearest Mexican or Indian grocery store and buy THEIR cinnamon sticks. You'll get the real thing. This is NOT the real thing!!

Great Value
I got this on sale, and it was a great deal! I wasn't sure how big this package would be, and I was shocked at how many cinnamon stick there were. I gave quite a few of them away to friends who love to cook. The plastic bag they came in didn't have a closure, and I had to find a large enough food container that would fit the ones I kept so they wouldn't lose their aroma and flavor over time. These should last me for a very long time since I really only use them to add a bit of flavor to tea and hot apple cider.

Awesome, as described (28oz bag)
I got the 28oz bag of Saigon Cinnamon from Vietnam, and boy, was I in for a treat! This stuff is the holy grail of cinnamon for my cooking, heat/sweet/aroma! The order arrived super quick, on November 1, 2023, and it's got a good shelf life until May 2025.The 28oz bag was short a 1/2 oz, but hey, close enough, right? I'm not here to nitpick on individual cinnamon sticks' lengths either, but they seemed to range from 2.75" to a solid 3". I'm just here for the flavor, and it did not disappoint. Some sticks are thicker than others, and that's perfectly fine for me. I can pick and choose depending on my use at the moment. There were hardly any broken pieces, just a few crumbs, really. Grinding them up would be less than a teaspoon of powder. And that aroma...oh my! It's like a siren's call for baking. I had to resist making cinnabuns right away and focused on sealing them up for later. Sure, there were a few sticks with a touch of discoloration, but it was all bark/knot related. No biggie. Now, let's address the elephant in the room - those negative reviews. Turns out, they're talking about other products listed here, especially the "1 count (14oz)" version. Trust me, that's not the Saigon Cinnamon you're looking for. The label on the picture of 1 count doesn't even mention Saigon Cinnamon, and it's seriously misleading. I’m glad I took a chance with the 28oz bag. I've got nothing but pros and not a single con in sight. Happy cooking! 😄
