Handy and Inexpensive solution!
What a terrific gadget! I was shopping candy thermometers and found this for just $2.00 more. Now I don't have to be constantly trying to keep the thermometer off the bottom of the pot. I click to check candy and no extra mess. Great for checking oven temperatures not to mention the grill, baby bottles, bath water..... Just an awesome household tool, not to mention the candy came out perfectly!

Batteries don't last very long.
This product is built well and feels nice in the hand. Temperature readings are quick and seem to be accurate. The only major flaw I have seen with my unit is that it has horrible battery life. Using it intermittently, the unit lasts about a month on NiMH AAA rechargeable batteries, a number that I feel should be far longer.

Convenient and works great.
Purchased as a stocking stuffer type of gift for my son. He absolutely loves it and uses it often and even uses it to check the temperature of the oil when he's deep frying something. Convenient and works great.

It does what it is supposed to do.
I got this for my dad as it was the ONLY thing that he wanted to Christmas. Well, I got his feedback on how he was liking it and he said it does exactly what it is supposed to do. So I am guessing that it was worth it.

Says batteries were included, there was a bubble in the packaging for them but none there. Using it to check the temps in my snake cages and UTH, works great.

Bad product. the sights are way out of target ...
Bad product. the sights are way out of target and after couple months after purchase it went berserk and started to show temperature +- 5 degrees Celsius more than actual temperature.

It works very well to measure the temperature of the cooking surface or oil in the frying pan. Would be nice if it uses the more common AA batteries.
