I fed this today for the first time. My betta LOVED it--he gobbled three pellets down and was looking for more, and he's not all that big. I tried it on my diamond tetras, too, for variety. They can't crunch up the pellets as well as the betta, but they eagerly snatched them and held them in their mouths until they softened enough to start nomming a bit off. Spit-nom-spit-nom... They are obsessed with getting every little bit possible. I'm pretty sure one even managed to stuff a few of them into her mouth at once for softening, to make sure to keep them for herself. Any time a tetra loses one from her mouth, it floats right back to the surface even after being underwater like that for a while.And *I* love the fact that there's a lot less wheat or anything else that fish aren't meant to digest, than in any other pellet or flake I looked at.

I've had the product for two days now. After having gone through four feedings, I can say the Betta definitely likes them. But, most of them just sink straight to the bottom of the tank, into the gravel. My Betta chases them and is able to catch a few, but then he's left poking around in the gravel like a bottom feeder for the majority that get by. I end up having to stand there for a few minutes slowly dropping one at a time to give him a chance to chase them. So, the "floating" in the description is a bit misleading.

My Betta LOVES this food more than anything I've given him in the past (including treats like bloodworms and bitty shrimp) It is adorable watching him eagerly grab for the pellets. He kept spitting out the cheap flakes I had been giving him. I was worried he didn't like the food. Clearly, this is is a great product for the value by his immediate change in food behavior. I was very skeptical at first because I never had any luck feeding pellets to my bettas, I have always just fed them live foods. My fighting plakats loves it! They gobble 5 pellets within seconds! Highly recommend for bettas. You can already starting to see their thickness showing after feeding a month!
