I've only used one other regular razor in this 'old school' style, so I have not much to compare it by. I used this new one to shave my legs and underarms. Used it only once so far and was pleased with the longer handle, the light grip needed to do the job and no nicks or cuts.I purchased this as a backup to the razor I already have, which is a shorter handle and which has definitely nicked me, although quite minor.I did not use the blades provided with this new razor, so cannot comment on their quality.

Look no further if you just want a safety razor that fulfills its goal and will be durable for many years.This is a nice 0 bs, good quality razor, that comes with 5 replacement blades out of the box.It opens by twisting the lower part of the handle, making the act of replacing blades easy and simple.Perhaps my only gripe is I'd wish the blade to be a little more exposed, as sometimes I'll be forced to use more strength when shaving than I think should be necessary. That being said, that very same fact probably makes it "safer" to use for those just learning to use a safety razor.Solid purchase, specially considering the price.

The Yintal DE Safety Razor is a great product. The craftsmanship is superb. It is engineered to perfection. The butterfly mechanism closes securely. As a side benefit, it also looks great. Making out of bronze eliminates the rust problem.For the last couple of decades I had been using an electric razor and getting barely adequate shaves. I just switched back to safety razors and was relieved to once again enjoy a close shave. My Yintal arrived yesterday and it provides an even closer shave than the disposable safety razors. I give this model of Yintal a very high recommendation.

This bronze butterfly razor is nicely made and appears to hold the blade firmly in place. I would classify the shave as moderately aggressive, probably not for the beginner. This veteran safety razor user was pleasantly surprised with the closeness of the shave and the lack of irritation. Of course razor and blade combinationsare almost infinite so one has to do a lot of trial and error to see what's best for your particular face. This razor with a Wilkinson blade did the job for me.

Put down that electric razor ever once and awhile and get a clean shave to start your day. Yintal Double edge razor will get it done.

Ridiculously close shave. Zero effort. The cost cannot be beat.I used to use a straight razor. I got pretty decent with it, but this razor is safer and the learning curve is far lower. A straight razor will slash you unless you get the angle perfect, and it's hard to twist your arm around to get both sides of your face. This is very easy to use. The blades are so cheap, you can change every single use!
