I Will Chomp You!

Great book for children that love monsters or dinosaurs.
I got it for my grand son who just turned 4. He loved it because the main character is much like a monster and the book is also funny.

A great book for all ages (if you have a sense of humor and like to do voices...)
This is somewhat subjective, but I love this book. It's funny because I didn't like it at first. I first got it I bought it because of their other books. This was very different from the one I got before it, but it has it's own personality. After I started reading it to my son he really connected with it, so I became more appreciative of its style and funky nature. I would recommend if you have a sense of humor!

Good for lots of giggling
My kids LOVE this. I have to chomp both of them, then they tell me to chomp myself as well. It's hilarious. The monster doesn't want to share his cakes, so he tries to scare the reader away with his chomping. SOOO many giggles when we read it.

Great children's book
Fun book to read with young boys. Everyone climbs on my lap when I pull this book out for sharing. It can be scary, but I always have the boys scare me instead of me scaring them.

I have to do lots of vocal imagery - but a fun book overall
Cute book, however, to make it interesting for my 3 year old, I have to do lots of vocal imagery - but a fun book overall :)

The message of this book is to keep doing something even when someone says no, I beg you - please stop.
"No, I beg of you...please stop." That last is a quote from page 15, after the monster has asked on every page for the child to stop turning the pages. Is it supposed to be funny to encourage a child to continue to do something that someone has expressly asked him/her not to do?? This is not amusing, and it is not the message that I want my grandson to hear. Do I want him to grow up thinking that it's funny to keep pestering (or, worse, bullying) someone, that it's OK to keep doing something that he knows someone doesn't want him to do, or that he doesn't have to honor the statement "No means no"? I cannot believe that this was one of Amazon's top choice books.

Good book, very poor condition
Excellent story, my kids love this book. I was very disappointed when I received it as it was in poor condition. Some pages were completely torn and the rest were bent. I didn't expect perfect condition but this book should not have been advertised as something it wasn't.
