great value for backup camera
easy to install -- left the wire from the camera external without even drilling. the padding around the trunk/hatch isn't hurting it, and the wire is then easy to bury under carpets/mats. if you don't even want to fish around for the tail light wire, put the 12v plug in and the on/off button works like a charm (make sure you turn it off so the LEDs to the rear don't offend your fellow drivers or local authorities; another plug for manually powering it on/off is to ensure it doesn't drain your battery if your outlet is hot even with vehicle off).camera has crisp picture (make sure you take off the film over the lens -- picture was full of glare before I remembered to do that).make sure you have a plan for the wired monitor. I have mine near where the bowling alley/shifter would be in between the front seats and it works for me without taking up more than a cupholder. i can look down and it is space i'm happy to give up for this. YMMV. I wasn't about to wire something up to the video of my center console screen and screw something up. and please don't obstruct your vision by throwing this good sized video screen on your windshield so you hit something going forward but not back.some of the packaging had a really funky sour tobacco smell but luckily it didn't penetrate the electronics at all, thank goodness. a strong whiff of nasty but at $30 or so, still felt like a steal compared to fancier and more expensive setups.one thing I'd deduct half a star for would be the parking guidelines adjust by width, height, and horizontally, but it would be nice to be able to adjust them further (angle/pitch, etc.). but you can have them off, so really, if you're in the market for a bottom shelf, no-frills, plug-and-play back-up camera, this is really good quality, works decently at night, and is hard to mess up if you have realistic expectations.

Great backup camera for the price, and support is very helpful with warranty and replacements
I bought this camera system and installed it about 2 months later. I got two kits for two of my cars. First kit I got I put on my dually for hooking up trailers mainly. System works great, picture is clear, easy to install. Then I had an issue with the camera not working. Troubleshoot it down to the actual camera in the back. I reached out to there customers support email and told them what had happened. I just asked if I could get a part number so I could buy a replacement camera and go about my day. Well, Susan there saw my email and were starting going back and forth about what I needed and she was making sure that I'd get the right camera for my screen and so on and so forth. She was extremely responsive and quick with our conversation and was very polite also. Well, at the end of the conversation we had figured out what I needed and I got more then what was required to get my backup camera working again. 10/10 I will be buying these for cars on my lot and will continue to do business with them. Honestly I was surprised at how they backed up there product and the speed at which they handled any issue I had at no additional cost to me. It's super simple system to install, the picture is great and the price can't be beat for the job it does.

Great camera, abysmal and potentially misleading instructions
The product itself is very good quality and the picture looks great. I would absolutely recommend it for the price. However the Engrish instructions the manufacturer included are a joke. Very confusing at best and harmful at worst. Before I get to that, a few other notes.I would recommend you get a rubber license plate holder before installing this. Not only is is a good idea anyway to prevent rust on the plate and body, it also prevents the camera's plate screw mount area from rubbing against the plate and making noise or doing any damage.Because of the very unclear instructions and my own incompetence, I wired the cables together incorrectly not one, not two, but three times. Thinking back the process was quite simple. Here are the steps I'd take to get it right the first time.1. Place the camera on the screw holes it will be placed on later2. Drill a hole into the plate area by the cable so you can run it into the hatch. Ensure that it is hollow on the other side and you're not drilling into anything you shouldn't be. The hole doesn't have to be very big, just large enough for the cable3. Take apart the trim pieces on the inside and get to where you ran that cable into4. Attach the half of the cable you ran through the hole to the rest of the cable. Run the full power cables over to where one of your reverse lights is. These lights, if I recall, are white in the United States. There should be two wires running out of the light. The black one is usually ground and the other one is the 12 volt positive wire.5. Cut the ground and 12V wires that were going to your reverse light in half, and then strip the ends off of them.6. Attach the part of the ground wire that is no longer attached to your reverse light (by soldering, crimping, etc) to the black cable that goes to your backup camera AND the other part of the ground wire (that is attached to your reverse light). The three black or ground wires should be together.6. Attach all the 12V wires together except for the one on the long end of the RCA cable. Run that one to your radio in the front of the car and crimp it to the reverse signal wire which should be on your radio harness. Get creative when hiding the cable. I'd recommend sneaking it into the trim so nobody sees it.As for the other wires:One wire brings the 12V power when you're in reverse and gives it to the other 12V wires. Of those, one goes to your reverse light, one will go to your backup camera, and one will go with that RCA cable to the long end which you attach to your radio. It tells your radio when to switch to the backup camera view (when you switch gears to reverse)7. Test it. If it works, put your car back together.I'm not sure I did that right but I looked up some ghetto instructions and it works for me. Make sure to cover your connections with some shrink tube, caps or whatever. Don't want to cause too big of a fire.

Great camera for the money
Camera works great, very good resolution on both camera and screen.I modified mine slightly , to mount above my mirror in a jeep jk, the direct power option is great, wired to my backup lights, so it's only on when I need it

Suction cup just plain sucks
The camera is nice, the clarity is great, everything you need is included which is a major plus. The way it mounts is non existent. The suction cup will not mount to perfectly clean glass and the “dash mount” wouldn’t hold a pencil. You get a little sticky pad that won’t even stick to the dash itself then when you try and suction to it it just falls off. I’m still trying to come up with a better solution to mount it but otherwise it’s a fine backup camera and does its job.

Clear as a Bell
I like the clear picture and ease of installation. I don't like there is only a suction cup mounting. I needed more options but made it work.

Good unit, works well.
This kit is fairly easy to install, depending on the vehicle more so than the kit.The screen is very nice and clear as is the camera. The only negative is that there is only a suction cup for the window, and this is the absolute worst I have ever encountered. It doesn't stick for even a second whatever you try. This suction cup is really a joke and you need some good glue to attach it to the window. It would have been nice if there was a second bracket to attach it to the dash, if you so desire. Overall good purchase for the money.
