Big quality sound,I am impressed.
I have wanted a quality speaker system for quite a long time,but have up until now used HTB solutions,mainly for cost savings alone.So my wish was to get tower left and rights and matching brand speakers for center and surround,but living in a small space means that would not be the best way to go right now,so I looked into getting a smaller speaker package,without making too many compromises for sound quality.So the Definitive Technology ProCinema series kept showing up on various list,so I decided on the 1000 system,and WOW,coming from a cheap (but good known brand) of HTB it was a revalation,literally opening a new world of sound not only on blu-ray,but regular network and cable shows as well. I have 5.1 setup now,but the sound has blown me away that I am excited to get two more speakers for a 7.1 ,as my receiver supports it.If you are thinking of getting these speakers I would say go for it,fantastic sound out of smaller (not as tiny as pictures make them look) speakers,if you live in a small condo like me these are wonderful.

Pay extra for the ProCenter 2000, downgrade on two surround speakers
This is a great system. But the price is the same if you purchase the individual components separately (list price, anyway). Spend an extra $130 for the ProCenter 2000.If you want to save some money, while upgrading the center channel, downgrade two of the ProMonitor 1000s to ProMonitor 800, which will be used for rear surround. Even ProMonitor 600s would be fine for surround, but they don't sell 600s individually.Not sure why Definitive Technology did this, but the center that best fits this system is the ProCenter 2000 (5.25" drivers), not the ProCenter 1000 (4.5" drivers). The four ProMonitor 1000s that are included in this system are 5.25" drivers.Will the ProCenter 1000 work for this system? Of course! It will sound great. But the ProCenter 2000 sounds better. If you're already considering the higher end of the DT Pro spectrum, might as well spend a bit more for the MOST IMPORTANT speaker in your home theater setup... the center channel speaker. Just my $0.02.In summary... my recommendation for a 5.1 DT Pro system. Buy separate speakers and get:1, ProCenter 2000 ($349)2, ProMonitor 1000 ($438)2, ProMonitor 800 ($290)1, ProSub 1000 ($499)Total: $1576

Best system I’ve had for sure
I have only had the system for a few months but I can honestly say it is amazing! Best system I’ve had for sure. It blows my old 5.1 bose system out of the water.The design is compact and surprisingly good looking. The speakers have a nice shape. They are great quality, crazy heaving, good looking. Overall its an amazing system. So if you're on the fence I say go for it. I was and I don't regret the purchase.
