Elixir Strings Acoustic 80/20 Bronze with NANOWEB Coating deliver a bright, lively tone together with extended tone life that players have come to expect from Elixir Strings. Review: Exactly as Described - Strings were exactly as described and a great value for 2 compared to buying in a guitar store. This is the only brand and type my boyfriend will use to restring his guitar. Review: Maker of Sydow Guitars uses these strings - My husband makes the incredible Sydow Guitars, which are thin-body carbon fiber acoustic with electric, guitars and he always uses this brand of strings. When musicians record, they always tell us the sound technicians rave about the guitar's sound and performance. Some musicians who buy his Sydow Guitars change to Elixir heavier strings, but most love the Light Nanoweb strings.

They are more expensive than many but they sound better and last longer than anything else I've tried
I won't use any other strings. They are more expensive than many but they sound better and last longer than anything else I've tried. There's a reason why manufactures like Taylor use them. They make them sound good.

Best strings
These are in my opinion the best acoustic guitar strings you can buy. nothing last quite as long or feels quite is good on the fingers.

these are good, too
Though I do prefer the Elixir Phosphor Bronze lights, these are good, too.

Life is short, buy good strings
Elixer strings are sooooo worth the price. If you break strings all the time, maybe not so much, but I don't so, they're great. I change acoustic strings literally only 2-3 times a year with Elixers. Any other brand would be once every 2 months. Life is too short to be changing strings all the time.

they last. Thats all you need to know... :)
I have more than the usual amount of perspiration from my FINGERS, apparently. These are the only strings that seem to last for me. They are not cheap but they work!

Sturdy, but a finger killer
Pros: Resilient and durable. Smooth, low noise sliding. Cons: Extremely stiff. Some people swear by these, but after playing them regularly for a few years now, I can honestly say they just aren't for me. I've been playing guitar and bass for over 25 years, so I've got the grip strength and callouses to deal with even the thickest of strings, but these make me feel like a noob every time. Even simple chords require way too much finger pressure, and forget about trying to do bends without getting arthritis. I appreciate the durability of these strings, but they sacrifice too much playability because of it. Also, their tone is simply average - not bad, not great, just... okay. If they could combine the durability of these with the playability of EB Slinkies, I'd be set.

Excellent strings - the Elixir range really raise the game for any good quality acoustic. If you've tried the usual suspects (no names - but the ubiquitous types - even their higher quality options), then go for the Elixir range for a few extra pounds...they make a BIG difference. Both with resonance, tonality and longevity, that extra bit of money goes a long, long way. You get what you pay for in most aspects of life - and these no exception. I prefer the Polyweb for my guitars tonal quality, but the nanoweb and almost as good - but would suit a mahogany or deeper, warmer toned guitar perfectly.

Best strings I've used, easy on the fingers, keeps its brightness for ages and stays corrosion free. A little pricey but id rather pay the extra anyday.

Have only bought these for years now, there’s no comparison. Yes they’re pricey but absolutely great sound that sticks around for twice as long. Highly recommend

Worked well on a Martin d18. String noise is reduced and seems to maintain that “ new strings” zinginess for longer. Still a bit too expensive to justify though.
