I grabbed the monster-sized 65-gallon black bags and WOW. These things are massive. Forget “taking out the trash” you could probably rent one out as a studio apartment! They’re thick, heavy-duty, and handle anything I throw at them… even liquids (yeah, I tested it—zero leaks, zero drama). The gusseted design makes them ridiculously versatile for big projects, and the opening is so wide it’s basically welcoming your junk with open arms. Here’s the kicker: a box of 50 weighs in at around 13 pounds. For just over $20 with free shipping, I don’t know how they’re making money unless they’ve got a side hustle in sorcery. Bottom line? I’ll be buying again!!

These fit in my trashcan good I feel like they’re good value for the money they don’t rip when pulling it out of the trashcan.

I ordered a quantity of 50, 1.5 mil thick, 50"x48", 65-gallon bags, individually packaged (not on a roll). The bags were delivered 2 days later. There were only 32 bags, not 50 bags so I filed a return with Amazon (which took less than 1 minute) and requested a replacement order. All I have to do is take the original order to my local UPS store to get it shipped. The reorder arrived and there were 54 bags! I'm not suggesting the supplier did anything other than inadvertently send me the wrong # items, but I would encourage anyone who orders these bags to count them. The bags all look good and there are 55 of them - 5 more than I ordered! They do seem to be about 1.5 mil thick (at least they seem slightly thicker than the 1.4 mil 50 gallon bags I get from a big box supplier), and the size seems to be about right (hard to measure cause they are pleated at the bottom). I put one inside my 65-gallon trash can and secured it to the top edge with a large rubber band I purchased for this purpose. (you really need a rubber band or strap to hold the bag in place to keep it from falling into the trash can). The bag went all the way to the bottom of the trash can - if it's not 65 gallons, it's very close. I can't speak to the strength or durability as I haven't used them yet. I didn't see any obvious flaws. I will update my review if there are any issues.

I purchased these bags for removing trash, paper/mail that has been shredded and for clothing being donated or stored. As others reported the bags have a strong cigarette odor making them inappropriate for clothing. I'm also concerned about the reports of a change in the quality making them have less capacity easier to tear. I bought mine several years ago and now need more but will try a different brand.

Industrial quality - no fear of failure. If you have a Toter or similar brand this is the bag to choose.
