It was perfect for my seven year old and fun but too ...
I bought two for my 3 year old and 7 year old. It was perfect for my seven year old and fun but too hard for my 3 year old. The pensel is a bit coarse making it harder to stay within the lines since the picture is not very big. It is very pretty.

Cute but tiny!
Cute paint-by-numbers! My 4-year-old daughter loved it. It's a lot smaller than I thought, and the brush is not really fine enough to stay in between the lines.

However my teen grand daughter thoroughly enjoyed it.
My 5 year old grand daughter became very upset trying to paint this. It's much smaller than I anticipated. However my teen grand daughter thoroughly enjoyed it. :)

This was my mistake because I though it was a box that could be painted and used, but it is not. the numbers are very hard to see to follow.

Fun for kids
My daughter (age 3) really enjoyed playing with this. She did need some assistance, however. Good with a parent nearby.

I was looking for a paint set for my 4 year old granddaughter and this was perfect. She wanted real paint (not the water paint). She loves to paint and I had a hard time finding a set for her age group. Melissa and Doug toys are the best.
