Double-edged sword
Is it delicious? Hell yes.CAN IT POTENTIALLY GIVE YOU DIARRHOEA IF YOU’RE NOT CAREFUL? Also yes — you want to be hydrated before you eat! 😅PSA aside, it’s spicy enough that you can feel it, but it doesn’t overwhelm the flavour.

My favorite.
Good flavor. Fairly spicy. Comforting noodles.

It has an interesting, almost sweet background flavor
I’m not a big fan of instant noodles, but they are good to have on hand for quick, not too highly spiced meals. The noodles and dried vegetables in this are fine, but the seasoning base tastes oddly sweet to me. They aren’t bad, but they did surprise me a bit how different these bowls taste compared to the smaller cup noodles size.

Well worth the cost
Worth it! Most supermarket ramen are basically noodles in hot salty water. This one has FLAVOR and the broth is the best part.

Was kind of disappointed
The pictures on the bowl clearly show corn is it this, and mine had absolutely none in it. Maybe this is bad quality control, or just false advertising. Idk which. But it’s a valid complaint nonetheless. That’s not my only problem with this ramen though. My second issue is it’s not really good. The spice itself is very hot, which I’m not going to knock it for because that’s what it’s supposed to be, and you can control how hot by adding less soup powder. My problem is the soup powder/spice doesn’t taste really good . It’s just one of those spices that sacrifice flavor for heat. And the ramen itself didn’t taste super great either. It wasn’t terrible, but nothing to write about other than its lack of flavor. On the plus side, I did enjoy it being in the bowl, and it worked great cooking in the microwave. No dishes to clean other than a fork, so that’s a plus. I did taste beef though, and I did like the beef flavor, just not the spice that’s with it. It overpowers it like crazy, and considering they’re together there’s no way to reduce the spice without reducing the beef flavor too. One other valid mention, is filling these up to the indicated line, left my ramen mildy dry as it soaked up most of the liquid. This is a first for me as usually you have plenty of broth at the end, which I like. This wasn’t bad though, and I feel like if you enjoy a more condensed ramen follow the directions to a tee and you’ll be good. If it wasn’t for the spice that kind of ruins this I’d probably have liked it more. But this one’s not for me.

Birria Flavor - Soulless and a little gross
By no means am I ramen snob, but it doesn't take a master chef to know when a bowl of noodles has no soul.Maruchan's idea of "birria flavor" is a vaguely chili-beef undertone with a slightly lemony aftertaste. I couldn't tell you any of the ingredients in this based on taste alone, it's an indecipherable approximation of...some kind of flavor. There seems to be a thickener or something in the powder packets to make the soup stick to the noodles, the effect is kinda gross, like you're slurping up oily corn syrup noodles. For over $2 a bowl this stuff is insulting.Forgive me for invoking the specter of the great Shin Black as many before me have done, but you're much better off buying that brand at this price. It's not even a contest, Shin Black is about 10000 times better than this stuff.
