Could use some modifications.
I've been wanting one of these for some time. Fit's my shirt pocket fine but holds the card in the writing slot somewhat loosely. The problem is there is so much play the card can easily shift.Reducing the size would affect how many cards it can hold. So I think it is the flaps that had less room in them to stabilize the card. This could be accomplished by stitching the edges in about an 1/8 of an inch. However I love the leather grain and the construction is great. I can't really complain about it overall. It's a keeper.I can learn to live it. If you put enough cards in the side pockets it does help to stabilize the card in the writing slot a little bit.

Solid Product
I have wanted this Pocket Briefcase for a long time. I take notes all of the time. I have been using a much cheaper version from a big box store. Keeps things in place and standard note cards work great.

better products exist for half the price
index cards barely fit and come loose as the opening for the card is too large. also not enough storage and no pen. so waayy overpriced and non useful. better ones exist for less than half the price. Very disappointed.

Beautifully made... too bad it doesn't work
This is a very nice "pocket briefcase'... except that it doesn't hold an index card because the pieces of leather holding each end of the card are far too small.

I use this thing all the time!
I am a pastor, biblical counselor, and postgraduate student, who also does a fair bit of writing and editing. To say that I’m on this thing all day is the understatement of the year. My SPB replaced an aging Royce Pocket Jotter (my EDC for nearly 8 years). Levenger’s product is slightly larger, but I gained 2 pockets; and the feel of the bomber jacket leather is so pleasant! I use the SPB all the time, and am never without it. I’d rather forget my phone than my SPB and pencil.I had to take one star for two reasons: first, the cards do pop out of the top end if I don’t keep it full. That wasn’t the case with my Royce jotter, but I’ve mostly figured out how to navigate it now on the Levenger. If they’d make it 1/8” shorter, the problem would instantly be solved. Some folks say using the thicker Levenger cards helps with this problem, though I’m uncertain about that. Second, my SPB’s corners chipped almost immediately. So strange…I’m at my desk or in a chair most of the day, and the SPB sits in my dress pants pocket by itself! Their customer service immediately sent a free replacement, which promptly did the same thing; so they refunded my money and told me to keep both SPB’s.All in all: I really like my bomber jacket shirt pocket briefcase. This is silly, perhaps, but the leather grain on one of them matches the grain on my preaching Bible perfectly, and it’s been a small aesthetic/tactile delight to enjoy them together.
