Part chef, chauffeur, servant and strongman Robby the Robot won audiences of Forbidden Planet with his charming personality and arsenal of futuristic Indeed, Robby was everything anyone wanted in a robot - strong enough to topple buildings, smart enough to speak 187 different languages, able to replicate emeralds and hors d'oeuvrers, and above all, selflessly obedient. Now with the help of Trendmasters technology, Robby is motorized with sound and light up function command just as if you were Dr. Morbius himself! Light & Sound Walking Robby Robot

I love this thing!
Works great and the batteries seem to last. This has great detail with the lights and walking motion which can be turned on and off. Robby was always my favorite robot as a kid.

Great reproduction of Forbidden Planet's Robby the Robot at a good price.
WARNING...WILL ROBINSON!...WARNING!If Robby is switched to "walk mode" on the back panel switch and is then turned on and off repeatedly with the front chest panel light button, he may start walking continuously and not respond to the front switch or back switch. This necessitates an emergency opening of one of the boot battery compartments to remove a battery while he is walking (not pleasant).Seems like one way to avoid this is to remember to turn the back panel switch to 'talk-only mode" after you turn off walking with the front panel light button. Then, when you want him to walk again, turn the back panel switch to walk mode, and then press the front panel light button. Seems to be working (so far).

If you like Robbie from Forbidden Planet. But it Immediately!
I have always wanted a quality Robbie the Robot since I saw Forbidden Planet. Also Robbie has appeared in other movies and on an episode of Lost in Space. I would have loved this as a child. And I really like it now. The voice, lights and sounds are just like Robbie in the movie! If you are a fan of Robbie and a child at heart; Buy one while they are still available!! The seller also has a good Lost in Space Robot that talks and lights up. I bought one of these tooIt's like Christmas for the 63 year old kid

Love this thing
I was a child when I saw the movie Forbidden Planet and saw Robbie the robot for the first time. I was amazed to see a robotic creature for the very first time in my life. He walked and talked, was able to scan his surroundings, run computation and even defend himself. I knew at that point I was charged forever by what and would always love sci-fi. I saw him a few times after that on tv shows like Lost in Space. My curiosity was truly peeked, seeing all the spaceships and other worldly innovations. This is highly detailed, easy to pose and even answers to the name Robbie, well worth the price for the future stargazers yet to come

I love this
This is so awesome.I have a theater room in my home set up to look like 1920s theaters. This item is on one of my shelves because I also have a lot of space information in the room, like Star Wars, lost in the space, lost world and stuff like that. So this is a perfect item for my room I am waiting now on lost in space the robot also.

VERY satisfying
Whenever you order something without holding and seeing it in person you take an (accepted) risk that it won't live up to your expectations. This item fully and happily lived up to my expectations. I am content!

Just what you wanted!
Not perfect, but close enough! And the voice and effects are from the movie. When you get down to it, this is a 300 dollar replica selling for 20 bucks. I've seen expensive versions of this that looked all wrong and didn't walk or talk.Yes, there is NO GUN, but head over to Etsy and a guy is making them to fit this robot for a few bucks. There, now your life is complete. ;-)

Forbidden Planet Robby The Robot
It is a great toy, larger than I was expecting the sounds and talks like the smaller version I had when I was youngster! It was missing the disintegration weapon as it was advertised! What did the government do confiscate the plastic weapon?

Nostalgia robotesca

Loved it
Robby is everything I wanted. He walks, talks and lights up. But none of that really matters to me. I just wanted to display him next to my B9 from "lost in Space'. They look great together. There is a bit of a size difference between the two. I don't recall there being much of a difference when Robby made a guest appearance on the show. But I could be wrong. The plastic that his lower body and legs are made of can look a bit cheap compared to some of my other figures. But you get what you pay for and I'm very happy that I paid for this. Anyway It made me feel so nostalgic that I took out my copy of Forbidden Planet and watched it again.

Belle reproduction !!!

a reasonably detailed toy
as toys go this is a reasonably screen accurate Robbie. it has some degree of detail. i paid $40.00 Aud. worth having for that price. only has three sounds. head and brain rotor move when in walk mode but not when static. the arms and hands are pose-able. the head and legs should only be moved when in walk mode or you will break it. you can't expect perfect for this price.
