Good product
Plugged it in and it worked great. Plus easy to use. I ordered 1 foot usb cables to help install, and the wholesaling looks clean.

Difficult to set up, but works well.
Debated on 3 or 4 stars, but I've got it working now, and it is working well. It was however a pain to set up and get operational. The instructions in the manual (provided on a USB drive) are lacking essential information. First, the displays for the video wall are 1-top left, 2-top right, 3-bottom left, 4-bottom right (it doesn't tell you that anyplace, and it is critical information to get the video wall working). Second, my top two monitors are mounted upside down (to minimize bezel thickness), and I had endless problems getting the video flip/inversion to "stick". The solution I finally found was to do the flip in the switch, not the PC, get the video wall working, then save the configuration as a preset. Input 1 to video wall=preset 1, input 2=preset 2, 3=preset 3, 4=preset 4, normal operation = preset 5. So now I can invoke video wall from any input, and revert to 4 separate screens when desired (all of my inputs to the matrix switch are from a PC). Notable disappointment: The Multi-view options only work on a single output, and the other outputs are blank when using that capability. You can't do multi-view on one output with any other output on. If this were of high importance to me, I would have knocked off another star, but it isn't something I expect to use. Auto scaling did not work well for me, I ended up hard setting my input and output resolutions. I've got 5 video outputs from my PC, and they are not all the same resolution, so I have to resort to the lowest common resolution for video wall to work. Nor are my monitors all the same resolution (but at least the 4 in the video wall are the same size). So to summarize in a sentence: I am satisfied with the product and it will serve my purposes, but it was very difficult to set up. Once I got all the presets programmed to do what I wanted, it is easy to use, but it took about ten hours to get it set up the way I wanted.

Works perfectly!
Second edit: I contacted the company about the problem and they were going to immediately send me a new one and I was supposed to get it by a certain date. Days and it was never sent out. Then they were going to overnight it. I didn’t get it overnight. I got it, three days later than what they promised.. I installed the new one today. It worked on one TV with a picture, but I didn’t even bother with a second TV to see if I got a picture because the sound didn’t work, I called them again today.. The one that I received today wasn’t the same as the one that I was trying to replace it was from a sister company. They are going to try to replace it, but I’m not sure which one if I’m getting from Service or the sister company which had a plug that was too big for my power strip, and I really had to waste plug space because of it. They can’t overnight it The second replacement I’m not really very happy with his company. They’re going to send it by ground. Edit. I purchased this May 17, 2024 and today is August 4, 2024 and it died today. I’m very unhappy. I hope it has a warranty longer than 2 1/2 months, And I hope it can be replaced quickly. I purchased another highly rated unit. It didn’t work at all and their customer service was nonexistent. This unit worked perfectly. It was easy to set up. I have a TV and cable box in my living room, and my bedroom shares the same wall, it just seemed crazy to pay for another Cable box. I bought a long HDMI cable and put the splitter in.. I bought a splitter along time ago, that eventually died, so I could watch TV in my bedroom. I can change the channel with the remote app in my phone. If I want to watch TV in the bedroom while I’m working around the house as well as in the living room, I can do that. I also can watch TV in bed and have the TV in the living room turned off. It’s great and works perfectly!

I've tried two brands, AND I'D RECOMMEND YOU AVOID THIS ONE
HDMI splitters are critical, esp. if you're hosting a Super Bowl party and need your HD 720 p projector AND LCD TV working in parallel off of one input device. So I went with the J-Tech, based on reviews. I'm fully aware of the "hand-shaking" approach, where powering the splitter, plugging input and output devices, and powering the input and output devices should be done in a specific sequence in order to assure a) great splitting of the video and b) splitting of the audio. Well, going by this sequence (1. Power up splitter, 2. Plug in input device, 3. Plug in one of the output devices, 4. Plug in the other output device, 5. Power on input device, 6. Power on output devices), it worked like a charm. I've also done the following sequence and everything worked fine: 1. Plug in input device, 2. Plug in one of the output devices, 3. Plug in the other output device, 4. Power on the splitter, 5. Power on input device, 6. Power on output devices. BEAR IN MIND that the instructions oversimplify, so mind the "hand-shaking" for the order of inputting devices and powering stuff on. But here's the kicker... day of the Super Bowl THE SOUND WENT KAPUT. The video split, but no audio coming out of the TV OR from the projector. NO AUDIO FROM THE OUTPUT DEVICES. Luckily, that week as a backup, I bought the Sewell Direct splitter (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007WR0CHU/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It works with one hiccup: No matter HOW you do the handshake (and I've heard that it could be because of splitting between a Sony LCD TV and HD projector), audio will ONLY come out of the TV and not out of the projector. Whatever, I could live with that. I used this same Sewell splitter last year for the Super Bowl and had the same result (split the video, but not the audio). But after hooking the TV to a sound system, it made no difference. So... 1) Why the J-Tech just stopped working by not providing ANY audio from any output device on the 4th day, I have no idea. 2) The lesser of the two evils would be the Sewell, because at least I'm still getting audio out of the TV, while getting great picture quality on the TV AND HD projector 3) In case you're wondering, my input device was my FiOS box. Just FYI, the Sewell works great with a Roku as the input device too. 4) A few weeks in, Sewell is still working as mentioned before. Agreed, it stinks that the audio doesn't split. But best to have audio from the TV and no audio from the projector as opposed to NO AUDIO AT ALL.

This nifty device really works as advertised. I have a FHD monitor and a 4K projector. And I need to use screen mirror. This device worked brilliantly

Bought this HDMI splitter for my Xbox One. I wanted the TV to be watchable by the wife when I wasn't home without needing to turn on or deal with the Xbox One. Then when I was home, I watch TV through the Xbox One and was tired and having to move the HDMI cable back and forth. This solved my exact need. Now the wife can watch TV as per normal and I can do so as well through my Xbox One without having to deal with anything extra or move any cables. TV looks just the same as normal and I've not had to touch the device once since setting it up. Very happy with the product so far!

I have been looking for a headache free HDMI Splitter for a long time and I finally found it. I’ve had this product for two weeks now and so far it’s been working beautifully. I’ve tried so many other splitters before this and always encountered a problem within three days. Usually it’s the HDMI handshake issue. Basically all I wanted to do is not necessarily have multiple displays on simultaneously but rather split my cable signal into the TV directly (for a simple setup for the wife) and the other signal to go through my (AMP) for my theatre setup. This product has so far proven it’s reliability. Finally found a splitter that works!
