Good product terrible condition of packaging
Never had this issue before. Product luckily not damage but could have been based on packaging condition on arrival.

Overpriced poly fiber that works great
Product works great but these should be cheaper! The profit margin on this type of product has to be massive. All of these filters are made of thick polyester fiber with a plastic rim on the top. These are among the best quality but three of them are $40. Besides the price issue they work very well. After a few months I do have to throw them away because after washing them so many times they get full of gunk really fast and lose their ability to filter water at a normal rate which causes the filter sock to overflow with water. They also reduce the noise of water flow in comparison to using a polyester pad laying flat as a filter.

Unbelievably effective
I have a 220 Gallon freshwater tank with an Eshopps sump, all of which I acquired second hand. I had switched to a canister filter since I was running the tank as freshwater instead of salt water. The water was noticeably cloudy a few days after cleaning no matter how well balanced the water was so I tried switching back to the sump with these filter bags. The tank was visibly clearer within a few hours and crystal clear a day later. Seeing the amount of crud these bags polish out of the water over the course of a month is, frankly, shocking to see.

Good filter sock
I have had 2 of the bags out of 9 tear. I have used 6 of them about 8 months, I swap them out twice a week and launder them in a gentle setting. Be careful when rinsing them out and try not to pull to hard on the area near the plastic ring. I will buy more when the ones I have wear out. Its about the only option for rectangular sock holders.

Perfect for RS-200
Fits perfect in the Eshopps RS-200 sump. You should definitely soak these at least overnight in RO water unless you don't mind your skimmer going insane. I haven't washed them in the washing machine to see how they hold up, yet. If I don't update this review, that means they survive.

The product is as advertised, I just wish Eshopps sold the 200 micron version that my Eshopps sump originally came with which are much more substantial than the 300 micron socks.
