Safe and non-toxic
I love this product because it is safe to use around my pets and children. It kills the ants when you spray it on them. It also smells pretty good.

Great temporary solution
This is a great temporary non-toxic to pets solution to rid ants. The area in which we live always has ants. Some years are worse than others. They mostly love finding a way into our kitchen which is so frustrating. We have five animals so I needed something safe to spray in the house until I can find where they are coming in at…it’s different all the time. This year they found their way into the pantry. This spray stops them for a few days. I also use outside at the base of the house where the kitchen is. I have seen a lot of cracks within the concrete. I have a lot of little critters also that visit for food so am glad this wouldn’t affect them either. The one thing we absolutely don’t like though is the smell. Our noses do not like it! But maybe that’s what keeps the ants away too?!

Strong Smell - but works on Contact for sure
I have a curious dog that licks everything and an even more curious cat. I couldn't spray "the hard stuff" inside with good conscience. I kept finding Carpet Beetles and searched high and low for something that would work. I sprayed this along the window sills and doors. It did not work completely to deter them (I had to spray Ortho killer outside to really do the trick) - however it does give you some peace of mind that you've done something inside. And it definitely does work on contact (I didn't expect it to bc/ it's all just oils but I sprayed on an ant and it was immediately done for). I sprayed this in a small room where there were beetles and just the smell (it is intense!) made them head for the hills. I"m sensitive with smells - and this is heady and strong - but it's not a horrible smell. It's just - intense. It does go away after a day or two though and at least if I can smell it - it feels like it's working! The greatest thing about this is that I don't feel like I"m spraying toxic crap all over my house. I'll definitely keep using.

Was not cat safe in our home.
Product states safe for pet households. The vet told me the scent of the product and oils used caused a mucus membrane irritation in my cat that led to a terrible sinus infection and antibiotics. My cat is indoor only and had no other exposure to any other products/cats etc and within three days of using products behind appliances for ants after a strong rain led them in, the scent was so strong he went from sneezing at first to major nasal discharge. He had no direct contact to product other than scent of oils from product. In hindsight, after reading more about essential oils and cats..... this is a known reaction in cats w many oils in other types of essential oil applications.

Good Stuff
I have a cat and a parrot - and I know that's a strange combination of pets, but the cat has no interest in the bird - other than to stare at it when the bird screeches at times, but I digress... Ants were coming into my house and infesting the cat's food. I tried bait traps, but the ants didn't find them. I was worried about spraying toxic chemicals around the cat's food dish, which is where the ant problem was. So I found this product and ordered it. I sprayed it on the first group of ants I saw and they stopped moving immediately. I sprayed around the cat's eating area, but then watched to see if the smell would turn the cat off and prevent her from going to her bowl. She smelled it, then proceeded to eat her food. She had no issue with it, thank God. Then when I had to leave her for a day, I wasn't sure how long the application would be effective on deterring the ants, so I put water in a bowl that is larger than her feeding bowl, then I sprayed the EcoSmart into the water, then I placed her food bowl into the larger bowl of water and EcoSmart. I made sure the food bowl wasn't floating - I put just a half inch of water in the bigger bowl. This worked, too. She came, looked at the strange setup, but proceeded to eat her food in peace. This stuff really works, it kills and deters the ants from whatever area you need protected. Let me add that I saw someone's review that said this stuff was toxic to cats and made her cat sick. I hadn't seen that review before I bought this, otherwise I would've been afraid and frustrated, not knowing how to keep ants away from my pet's food. I'm sorry that it hurt her cat, but my kitty seems to be fine with this pest control and I am grateful. I even have Orkin come treat my home regularly, but it's just not enough. The ants return a day or so after Orkin has treated the home, so supplemental control is definitely needed. Without this product, I'd have no solution to my problem.

DO NOT BUY, HORRIBLE OVERPOWERING SMELL
DO NOT BUY THIS. It smells horrible... I read a couple reviews about the smell, but thought "an organic product can't smell that bad..." I sprayed about 5-6 times in my basement to test it out. Within 30 minutes it made its way to our main floor. We have 2 newborns and are seeing some ant and cricket activity in our house, hence we wanted something safe around children. We moved the kids upstairs and started venting the downstairs. Unfortunately it was cold outside so we had to have the heat blasting to keep up. After 2-3 hours it was making its way to the 3rd floor. I have every fan I owned and window open trying to vent the house. Took about 4-5 hours. The smell is like a chemical menthol scent. It's awful!! I read some company retorts about other reviews with similar complaints. They say "some people like the smell". If you like the smell of menthol mixed with gasoline mixed with bleach, then this product is for you. And if you like for the smell to be so overpowering that it burns your nose hairs....then buy it. Bottom line, have no idea if it actually works. It sure made me, wife and kids want to get out of the house. But really, this should be for outdoor use only.

Love it
This product in different forms has been helpful over the years. I do make sure to ventilate when spraying as you can still get a headache— would ventilate in a bug safe way (screens without big openings), and keep people and pets our of rooms you’ve sprayed in for a while. You don’t usually need a lot inside thankfully. I do spray permitters outside regularly. After it rains and it dries, it likely helps to reapply. Though something says pet safe, it never means to have extended direct exposure for pet or people, while it’s an active smell the first few hours or days. And it definitely doesn’t mean put in your pets food or water bowl. Putting very lightly where there food will be later and then placing the food after it dissipates is ok, but I would not spray on, in, or around it. It just means that it’s safe to put in areas where pets and children will be later, ongoing. Still exercise precautions and good judgment
