Waste of money /Does NOT work.
I ordered for my 16 yr.old American Eskimo from Amazon.Recieved April 4 and applied April 5 .He still had fleas a week later Applied second dose may 5.Again he was covered in fleas and had chewed all of the hair off his legs .Amazon return window closed may 3.Funny it was 1 month on a monthly product,.I contacted the manufacturer number on the package.Since Amazon won't return, they're refunding it through a grievance with Amazon. In the meantime,I had to order more Frontline while waiting for my refund.

Silken Windhound approved!
Very impressed with the quality for the price point. I’ve used Vectra 3D, Frontline, Adventist etc.. this definitely compares to its competitor Frontline. I live in New England where we have heavy Tick populations, I’ve found 1-2 ticks on the dogs seemingly towards the end of the month. I haven't had any adverse reactions and the oily residual goes away in a few days.

Good value
It seems to work, but doesn't always last for a month. There have been times when we've had to re-apply after less than three weeks, but then it seems to work well enough to keep our dogs and home flea free. It may not be the best, but we'll keep using it.

Works great
I've been using this medium application in between my two small dogs one weighs 21lb the other one weighs 17 so I split it accordingly between the two. Month 3 still no fleas and no ticks as we're in tick season now. My girl has picked up a tick every October for 3 years in a row. I started them in August and doing good so far in Oct. I am very apprehensive about using flea tick meds essentially it's a toxin I'm applying to my dogs. I know from previous experience with oral tablets they will cause your dog seizures and that's why I am nervous to use any type of flea medicine. However my fear of tick borne illness is much greater than that of this topical flea tick medication. I'm terrified my pugs get ill worse yet pass it to me. So far I think this okay. I always watch for any signs of change over the next 2 days. And never any side affects with either

Pay attention to bad reviews
Here's the gist: My dog became immobile and was put through hellish pain. Yes, this is a normal poison we use on pets for fleas/ticks. Pay attention to your pet immediately after applying this garbage. Wash them immediately if something seems off. Do not ignore them. Long story: My 26lb,10 yo corgi got a bath, 2 days later, I put this Amazon Basics (23-44lb) liquid between his shoulder blades, squeezing out the liquid exactly where the directions stated. We've used Frontline for years, this is not a new concept. Was applied at night so he'd be all nice and dry before morning when he gets love and pets. The next morning, he started yelping in pain when we went down the steps, like he'd hurt his leg. This limping, then lethargy, and yelping grew, and I didn't know what happened. Acorn shell in the paw pad? Secretly tripped and got new hip pain he's never had before (but corgis are definitely prone to with age)? Three days pass, he's progressively worse. Morning of day 3, he can no longer stand up, can no longer walk. I can't pick him up because he yelps in pain. He lays there with bloodshot eyes, panting nonstop in my 74F house. His sides, his back, legs and paws are in pain. He would still eat, but he couldn't get up off of the floor, so I fed him from my hand. I'd already called the vet the night before, but they were closed. I'm wracking my brain trying to figure out what's different. Me, the idiot, didn't remember that this Amazon Basics liquid is NOT the same the Frontline he'd used for almost a decade. The vet calls back, I tell her I think I know what it is, and that another negative reviewer said they gave their dog a bath 30 min after application and it improved. She says to give him a bath immediately and see if it does anything. It had been 3 days on my dog, I had little hope. I gave him 2 long baths in Dawn dish soap, and about 6 hours later, he started standing again. 8 hours later, he was slowly walking again. No idea if this is a quality control problem, was this mis-dosed for a bigger dog? The active ingredient in this is the same as Frontline. I don't even know if this kills fleas or ticks. He was so lethargic he couldn't life his leg to scratch anything if his life depended on it. A week later, he was about back to normal. I will not be using this again, or giving it away. This is trash and a waste of money. Maybe you'll have better luck, but keep in mind the reviewers who put their pet's lives at risk to save money. Don't do it.

It Works!!!
Amazon's Basic Flea and Tick for dogs has worked really well for my dog. She goes in the woods and high grass out in the fields and has been covered with ticks in the past with other products, however since using this brand I have only found a few dead ticks on her. Buy it - It Works!

Not saying it works or not, I think my dog at 42 lbs was almost at the maximum (22 to 44 lbs).
This topical flea product did not work for me. Maybe because my dog is 42 lbs close to the maximum weight. I dosed him one tube where there were active fleas on my pup. Two hours later, fleas were still hopping around and I had him contained. In my opinion, I do not think this product kills on contact. A day later, there were more fleas. I can't say if it works or not. Either way, Amazon Basics was kind enough to return in for a full refund. I'm also very sensitive to smells, I noticed no odor at all, nor did my pup get an allergic reaction from it, like other reviews posted.
