I love this product. I can get some mochi at an Asian grocery store, but they don't always have this classic flavor. These are not the real "daifuku mochi" because these are small ones, but still taste great. Great for people who like sweet red beans, azuki.

I have purchased many Shirakiku products in-store and always check that the label states "Product of Japan" and have never been disappointed, and thought these (purchased online) would be the same. I failed to read the seller detailed product description, (assuming this was also a product of Japan because of the "Brand"), but it is not; This is a Product of Taiwan and I realized that is the reason that these didn't taste anything like the mochi I love made in Japan. These are: mochi is bland, red bean filling is weird tasting and not very sweet. If you are wanting the flavorful, sweet, delicious red bean mochi from Japan then definitely read all the details to confirm where the product that you are looking at is from. I was so disappointed with this product that after eating one I threw the rest out.

I was really excited about getting these because I haven't been able to get to the Korean or Japanese markets in quite awhile. Oh God these are terrible! They don't taste fresh. Even though the expiration date hasn't come up yet, they taste kind of old. They definitely are not worth how much I paid for them. Honestly, I'd rather learn how to make the sweet red bean paste myself and the mochi dough. Ive eaten quite a lot of these types of Daifuku buns and several different typesThese are not the freshest... ughVery disappointed

The Red Bean Rice Cake Mochi Were Really Good And Delicious.

Having the last one as I type this and it was worth ever bite. Got this as part of a birthday gift and I recommend for anybody who loves rice or the taste of and bean paste. It came sealed and the expiry date was far away so that's a major yes for me. A super yes from me with this snack.

I bought a bunch off Amazon and this item looked the best visually but it’s blend and taste was very average.
