This is very thick and clear. I think it looks great, exactly as described. This is bigger than my actual table and will require trimming. I haven't tried that yet since I was giving it time to unroll to relax some of the curl on the edges from shipping. I'm a little nervous how well trimming it myself will work considering it won't be a factory edge, but we'll see. I'll update my review if anything is drastically unexpected during trimming or if I learn any tips or tricks. I plan to use an exacto knife and straight edge.If anyone was wondering, it came in a giant roll, wrapped in some sort of metallic shrink wrap, in a box.

It is the exact size ordered and fits the table perfectly. Now we can enjoy the wood finish on our table without worries of damage to the finish. The heavy quality thickness is very pleasing.

It's a great protector sheet for my new kitchen island. Nice thickness, protects from heat up to 175F and from scratches and stains.. Mine is right now, still flattening out after installing on top. I chose to just allow the weight of items to help reflatten after shipping, although it came with several suggestions for doing this procedure... I may heat with a blow dryer but so far the weight method seems suitable enough... I love it! I have left about 1 inch hangover on each end to protect from drips, but I may trim it later if I feel it needs it. I haven't decided yet! So far it's a great purchase....

Other than the product sticking together when you try to unroll it, which resulted in a very small scratch on the surface, I would have given this a 5 star rating.We purchased a metal patio table that had a woodgrain finish painted on it. We noticed the display model in the store had several scratches that cut through the faux woodgrain finish down to the metal. It looked like someone had scratched it with a ring or other piece of jewelry. So, we knew when we purchased the table that we would have to either keep a tablecloth on it all the time or have a piece of acrylic cut to fit the top of it for protection.I saw this and knew it was the solution to our problem. I didn't like the tablecloth we were using because I wanted to see the woodgrain finish beneath. We were able to order this to fit the exact tabletop dimensions like a custom cut piece or acrylic would fit it. This product is crystal clear and high gloss. It looks like glass on the tabletop. It is high quality in that it is heavy and thick enough not to slide out of place or blow off in the wind on our covered patio. It is extremely easy to wipe of with Windex and a soft, lint free cloth or paper towel.For the money, it can't be beaten. Just be careful unrolling it so that that the top surface does not stick to the bottom surface above it. A liner between the rolled layers would have resolved this issue, but then someone would probably complain about having to dispose of the paper or tissue liner.Other than the small scratch, this would have been a 5 star!

My mother actually suggested this to me to cover my desk with. I still have some rectangle glass pieces from the original desk, but decided to cover my entire desk with this Table Protector and have zero regrets. The rectangle glass pieces only cover parts of the desk... but takes the most abuse. This product has protected the rest of my desk from everything else (and I mean everything). This includes but is not limited to, drink spills, food, dust, paint, scuffs and scrapes, pen marks, etc.. etc.. etc... I personally would have never thought to get this... I have to give one point to my mother on this one. ;)p.s. It has a rating up there for heat resistance and I will mention that hot items tend to stick to the plastic. It causes no harm to the product itself except a tiny tiny bit of temporary bubble warping, but after an hour or so returns right back to normal.

This cover does, in general, what you might need it to do. That being said, there are a few important things that you should consider:The cover is not cut exactly to size. It is actually cut unevenly (not to any exact dimension) so the edges wander a bit on each side. If you aren't particular about it fitting to the surface or don't mind cutting it yourself, that may not be an issue. But if you want to to, say rest on a table and conform to the stated dimensions, you are going to be disappointed. The variance is about 1/2" so it's not massive but definitely visually noticeable. It obviously gets tricky to cut a perfectly straight line on your own for longer cuts so it's something to bear in mind.The other issue that I found is that it does not sit flat on flat surfaces. They recommend letting it sit and then using a blow dryer on the product to smooth out the wrinkles and, although it does improve the look, it does not solve the problem. If you are laying it on a rough surface this may not be as visible. But laying on, say, a flat table, you are going to see waves as the product does not sit flat. This also means that you are going to see wavy light reflections as well.But in terms of durability, ease of cleaning and toughness, this product is solid.

I was able to use the product right off the box. It takes some time to straighten out. The cover looks beautiful and is very clear. It brings out the beauty of the original wood.
