This is a very well made and performing adapter. I was having issues, losing my display on my Mac Mini for hours at a time over the course of about a year. I did some research and found that an OS upgrade and using HDMI connection was probably the cause of my issue. I received this adapter during a display blackout. Without turning off the Mac Mini i installed the adapter and was happy to see it resoled my problem! Beyond that I noticed a sharer and clearer monitor display. Awesome adapter highly recommended if you are attaching a non-Apple monitor to your Apple!

I was swapping out computers and docking station. I needed to land one of my extension monitors on a mini display port. I've got a really good HDMI cable, so figured I could get by with a good adapter. Plugged it in and it instantly worked. Picture is great on my 55" 4K display. Amazing value!

Cable Matters offers so many great cables at prices that seem to indicate they'd be poor performers. Long gone are the days where expensive cables and dongles were required to have satisfactory performance. I've found this brand to have equal or better performance than other options and it's not as disappointing to me when I lose or forget one. Perfect HDMI connection made through this Mini DisplayPort adapter. Great size and quality.

If you have a Macbook Air from 2013 (possibly other models) and want to use an LG UltraWide monitor that is 2560x1080 @60hz, then this cable WILL NOT work for you. Works great. I have tried a number of mDP to HDMI adapters from cheap cable sellers and they either didn't work or didn't support audio. I've used a number of cables and adapters from Cable Matters and they all work as advertised. Their stuff is generally very high quality and only marginally more expensive making it a great value.

Great product came when it was expected and was in perfect condition. The item itself is awesome hooking it up with my surface pro 4 it worked great, it also comes with a booklet which helps you out hooking up the cable with the right product you intend to use it with which was really helpful because that means I did not have to take the time to go on the internet and find out myself. The only con is that cord is small, but honestly having a huge HDMI cable solves the problem.

Absolutely love it! It's very well constructed and relatively low profile. I bought it for my Microsoft Surface Pro 2 (I originally looked into the Microsoft adapter, but it was way to expensive for what it is) and works like a charm. It even passes audio through! Only thing is that it theoretically supports 4K, but it's not an active adapter, so for most applications this fails to be true. That said, for non-4K applications, this adapter works perfectly and priced just as good.

We use these with mac mini's to drive an extra ultra wide screen monitor. Since Mac mini's only have one mini display/ thunderbolt port and one hdmi output, we bought monitors with hdmi inputs.
