What a learning tool and conversation piece to begin each day! Some friends have an older version of this book and right away I thought, "I have to have this!" They have gone through their book page by page, day after day, year after year and love it. I got right on line and ordered a couple, one for me and the other as a gift for my parents! It is so educational and fun to read at the same time. The photos are amazing and the entire concept compiling material from around the world is priceless...thanks a million! :-)

This is one of the BEST books I've ever purchased. I really LOVE all of the different pictures and places that I didn't even know existed on this planet!! I just open the book up and imagine that I'm right there in the scenery. I am TRULY a newly acquired fan of Yann Arthus-Bertrand. He takes you everywhere your mind could ever dream of, and places your eyes close to what you may never, ever see!!

this book has interesting pictures and is great and deep thinking reading too! i didn't know it was going to be so though provoking. also loving good images of my favorite planet! it's set up so that if you read and view one entry per day you'll get through the whole book in a year, of course i just dove in and enjoyed it while the power was off. cool stuff!

This was a gift for my son's young family. It was mailed directly, so we haven't seen it as yet. My son's family let us know how much they liked it. They have enjoyed looking at it with their children ages 2-10. They said the pictures are "awesome". I'd buy this book again for anyone interested in nature and the earth.

If what you want is a variety of pics of the earth from above, this book includes shots of garbage dumps and land fills in 3rd world countries. The photography is great quality stuff, but I really expected a book full of pics like the cover shot. There are great shots inside, but there are also those that aren't beautiful...

It shows we should have three lives to see and enjoy all those marvels. Great photos. Had no ideas there are so many places where human presence is not overwhelming.

I had seen an earlier edition of this book by Arthus-Bertrand. The photos are truly amazing! he does an excellent job of giving us a view of places on earth that are truly awesome. I can look at it for hours!Spring Robin

I never imagined that there are such a beautiful places on earth unless after reading this book, some places i already seen before...now i saw them from a diffrent angels and they are looking extremely stunning.Great selection of photos and descriptions, more over, the book tends to emphasises on the environmental changes that may lead a lot of these beautiful places to extinction.I LOVED THIS BOOK, and i will certainly read and show the photos on it to my little daughter...with joy every time :)
