desertcart.com: Here We Go Again: My Life In Television (Audible Audio Edition): Betty White, Betty White, Simon & Schuster Audio: Books Review: The delightful visit with Betty White - What funshe is. It was lovely to live in her shoes for a while through this book. I especially enjoyed hearing about the many shows. I had seen her in growing up. And the joy she brought me. Her writing with its many colloquialisms sounds as if she’s just talking to us. I admire her energy. It’s hard to believe one person could’ve done so much in one life. Review: "Golden Girls" Rose - I ordered a book for each of the "Golden Girls" when I learned that Rue McClanahan passed away. Betty White is the only one left alive of the four ladies. I found it fascinating to learn that "Ma" was actually only one year older than "Dorothy" (her daughter) on the show. I watch this show every night at 10:00pm until I fall asleep. It is a light hearted comedy but, at the same time, there are some "life lessons" in the show. I am now the age that "Dorothy" is supposed to be in the show so I can relate to a lot of the things she says, does, and goes through. In this show "Rose" (Betty White) is a widow whose husband's pension fund is wiped out. She is very scared about being able to continue to afford her rent if she can't find a job that pays decent. It is fascinating to watch the other three ladies help her get through the trying times. Her character is an "air head" who can really be insightful at the same time. These books are really interesting and tell you about the person behind each character. One of my books was canceled so I will continue to look for it. Definitely a "must read"!!

excellent read
Absolutely loved this book! It’s pretty much the life and times of Betty White. She walks you through her relationships, her stardom from the very beginning in radio throughout the years and advancement of television and Hollywood. A fun and entertaining book with the typical Betty White humor.

Betty White - She Can Do No Wrong
I KNEW I was going to love this book...and I did. Before I'd finished it, I ordered her other book "If You Ask Me: (And of Course You Won't)". I can't wait to get started on that one. Betty White is a class act. She has seen television develop from the early stages to what it has become today. She is the only actor to have come all this way and still be as present as she is in the media, on TV, and in movies. I was born in the 80s, so my first introduction to Betty White was in The Golden Girls which I have always loved, and continue to love to this day. Since then, I've obviously gotten much more exposure to Betty White and have continued to love her as an actress and admire her as a person. The book talks mostly about the changes the television world has seen over the decades, but she also talks about her personal life. She talks about failed marriages and relationships, as well as the loss of her husband. She talks about her colleagues and friends with such respect and admiration. She doesn't have a bad thing to say about anyone in the entire book. You look at this woman and she is the epitome of class. She has been able to adapt with television as its developed. She isn't afraid to push the envelope, as modern television and movies nowadays do. I can't say enough good things about Betty White. Get the book, read it, love it. You'll end up loving her as much as I do!

Delightful!
I enjoyed Betty White's memoir very much! It gave me insight into how the TV industry worked from the inception of TV until 1995. In addition due to her long and illustrious television career, I got to meet her co-stars, directors, and the bigwigs of the TV industry. I loved how flexible and adaptable she was which I believe led to her long 70-year career. I was so happy for her during her marriage to Allen Ludden, the love of her life!

Only for TV history buffs
I love Betty White (who doesn't?). I was very interested in the historical aspect of this book. I learned quite a bit about how the TV industry has (and in some cases has NOT) changed. But beyond that, I don't think too many people would find this book terribly interesting. I think you have to be a real TV nut (and game show nut) to appreciate it. The only part that I want almost everyone to read is the forward. Even though she writes as if she doesn't understand it all, she really has a good handle on the next frontier / challenges for the TV industry.

Journey into television history
Betty White is great company in this fun adventure. The book explores the development of television throughout the decades, from early live shows to today's cable TV. Betty White has been there and seen it all. From her humble start doing a one-liner commercial to her smash-hit series the Golden Girls, she narrates her experience with warmth and humbleness. Along the way, you will discover curious gems such as the 5-hour-a-day live show Hollywood on Television, and the four different incarnations of the Betty White Show. She talks about her personal life in between meeting with famous personalities and appearing on games shows, sharing joys and sadness as well as sprinklings of witty observations. Betty also has an unquenchable love for animals, and the animals in her life shine in this book like any other big name star. Her human friendships are just as appealing, and you will see familiar names such as Mary Tyler Moore and Carol Burnett coming and going in her circle. In all, this is a lively book that chronicles an amazing career. And fans of Betty White, even casual fans, would love it.

The photos in the book alone are worth buying it (for example, Betty in an Eve costume or hugging a lion), but the stories are equally amazing. Very interesting to read about the early days of television (and I mean early, late forties), various breakthroughs and new technologies, and Betty's television roles from then till 1995. She writes just as you would expect: light, loving, kind and funny. Truly one of the best celebrity autobiographies I've read!
