Great mounts for Arlo Pro 2
Just setup an Arlo Pro2 camera system and completed the installation with a few other Amazon items. Rather than write up separate reviews, and assuming other shoppers may be in the same position I was, I'm consolidating all the extra items in an overall solution review. After a lot of searching and researching, I decided on the following to build out the solution: Kiwi Design Adjustable Aluminum Alloy mount: Excellent! They are ALL metal alloy except for the plastic mounting base underneath. Very easy to install and adjust. Even though both cameras are under a soffit or overhanging porch and out of direct elements, I wanted something strong and durable. AND the adjustment screw nut does NOT interfere with the charging cable as complaints about many other mounts note. Highly recommend!! eBoot Silicone skins: Very happy I decided to get these. From a distance the light brown fades into the brick behind for a clean look. The camera itself is hardly noticable unless you know it's there. Taken one Outdoor weatherproof charging cable: Comes with charger that has output at right-angle to input power for clean install. Flat cable is easy to work with and tuck into openings. Again my chargers are either inside, or well-protected under overhangs, so I was not as concerned with full exposure to the elements. Full-time power activates the 3-second 'lookback' buffer on the Pro2, so captures more detail in recordings. No worries about recharging batteries, and less concerns about coming cold-weather performance. Tendelux AI4 IR illuminator: Had seen and read several online reviews that mentioned Pro2 night-vision performance. I decided to add the IR illuminator and makes a noticeable difference. Decided on the smaller AI4 for aesthetic reasons based on small size and black color, and other reviewer comments and comparision photos. The unit itself is hardly noticeable at sidewalk distance. When on, and facing directly and moving towards the lamp, can faintly see the red glow of LEDs, but nothing major. Seeing results at night for first time, I suppose could have gone with a larger unit, but still happy with the balance of performance improvement and physical size. Re: attached photos there are lights on front of garage throwing ambient light, but can still see the difference on brick wall and ground, and shadow of post when IR is on.

no issues whatsoever
I have been using them for some days now and they work well, better, and more stable than other stands, which include a placeholder. I can easily rotate it to aim where I need it to, and adjust. It's easy to take the base stations out as well. I took a very short time to install them, even with concrete walls I have at home. I required a concrete drill bit and a compact drill to do the job, but aside from that, everything came out pretty well. I had two opposite side electrical outlets in my room, so I did not have any issues getting an available power supply, but I only say this because if you install on an area that there is no nearby electrical plug, you would need an extension cord.

Adhesive not strong enough to support a vive base station
Perhaps it was my fault for not letting it sit for the 48 hours I was supposed to, but the adhesive just wasn't able to hold up base stations without dropping them. One fell off in 2 days, the other in 4. Ultimately I just went down to the hardware store and picked up some double sided adhesive tape and that seems to do the trick, otherwise the adhesive seems to slowly peel off from top to bottom until it loses hold entirely. My room has carpet floors so there's luckily no damage, but I'd be wary about using the adhesive that comes with the thing over something like hardwood. And just for details, my walls are painted and not completely flat as you can see in the picture. I used Gorilla brand "Tough and Clear" double sided adhesive tape to stick them back on the walls. So far I'm not noticing any of the top-down peeling that happens with the default adhesive and I've also managed to pull it off my wall without damaging it, although it had only been there for a few hours at that point. In sum, the default adhesive isn't that strong and should be replaced with a stronger one. Although the default adhesive did take off some of the paint off my wall where the force is strongest, so maybe the adhesive only really works on completely flat surfaces. UPDATE ON THAT: Adhesive tape didn't work. It held on for a day or two and then gave out. I ended up just screwing the screws into my wall, now with less paint. Maybe it's something with my wall, it does have a texture to it. In any case, I wouldn't slap anything expensive on it especially over hardwood. My base stations survived like 50 falls onto the carpet though. Onto range of motion, honestly it seems fine to me. To angle it up and down you simply move the camera along the axis of the metal knob. To rotate it you actually need to rotate the entire plastic part that sticks out, and to tighten and loosen it you rotate the base. I've included a diagram for clarity. The design isn't elegant by any means, but it looks nice and it works fine which is pretty much all that matters. Unless you constantly need to switch up the angle of it I don't see a problem with it. I would just be wary about putting anything expensive on it without nailing it on the wall or buying a stronger adhesive.

These worked out great - finally got my Oculus Rift sensors off my desk. I always had issues with coverage as I just didn't have enough room on my desk to aim them properly. Now that they are up on the walls, I get excellent coverage - even right down to the floor. The mounts are of excellent quality - all metal, and come with options of both screw-in or 3M double side tape. I used the tape option and have zero concerns about them falling off. Would highly recommend.

Tolle Wandhalterung, leicht zu montieren, fantastisches Design. Einfache Handhabung.
