Here’s a little more technical review for those curious.I picked these up at a local goodwill for considerably less than the cost here. Being an audiophile I’m always interested in different audio things and doodads. I noticed these were 2 Bluetooth speakers so how would they work? My phone can’t connect to 2 Bluetooth devices at once so what gives? Well one connects to your phone and the other connects to the first speaker. Cool so they connected easily enough. Started playing the doors from pandora on my phone and to my shock (and anyone who was around me in my truck I’m sure saw my shocked face) they were playing in stereo! These aren’t just 2 paired mono speakers, these are true left and right speakers! I know that streaming music broadcasts in stereo but I didn’t think that sharper image would care enough to decode and broadcast the stereo signal to the other speaker. Why they call these surround speakers I don’t know, if they just advertised them as stereo I think they’d get more attention.The fm works fine. Remember there’s no external antenna so don’t expect great reception if you live in the sticks. There no stereo fm but that’s ok since they probably wouldn’t pick up a good MPX signal anyway.The sound? It’s a 2” speaker what do you expect!? It sounds fine for what it is. Some kind of tone control would be nice but again they don’t sound terrible.Bottom line if you’re looking for decent shower speakers that are more than just a speaker I think these are worth $100.

I purchased this for its FM radio capabilities, not bluetooth - so this review will focus on that. I didn't try the bluetooth.First, both speakers don't work as a pair in FM mode. That only works in bluetooth mode. So buying this two pack is a waste of $50. This is stated in the manual.You have to press mode button every time they turn on to switch from bluetooth to FM - it doesn't remember it was last in FM mode.The reception is terrible as it only picks up a handful of stations despite my being close to the transmission tower farm for all of Northeast Ohio. Other cheap $20 FM radios work fine in the same location. I even have a DIY radio built from a kit that works far better.If you tune to a station and then try and scan again, it starts at the beginning of the band every time instead of beginning the scan from the station you are currently listening to. So you have to scan through all the stations you've already scanned past - every time!If you hold down scan button too long, then it goes into a loop where it scans all the stations and you hear each one very briefly - approx 1 second - too short to hear what station you're even on! And I could never figure out what button to press to stop the scan. This mode isn't described in the manual.If you hold down scan button - but not too long - you can scan stations one by one - this is described in the manual.It doesn't appear to remember what station you were on after turning it off. For example, each day you need to go through the scanning nightmare again.Both units behaved in the exact same manner, so it wasn't an issue where one was broken.

Sound quality is not great

When it comes to bathroom entertainment, Sharper Image has done a commendable job with their shower speakers. The ease of setup is worth mentioning. As a user, you simply power up the device, and *low battery*, it's ready to pair. Almost instantly, the speakers are synced and prepared to serenade you during your morning or evening ritual.The sound quality, while not outstanding, is good. It provides a pleasant background tune *low battery*, transforming an ordinary shower into a personal concert. For a device that needs to withstand humidity and water splashes, I believe it does hold its own quite well.Another point that deserves applause is the intelligent power management system. Turning off one speaker automatically powers down the low battery paired speaker. This feature certainly adds to the ease of use and power-saving aspects of these shower speakers.However, while the speakers offer several good features, there is one significant drawback. When the speakers are *low battery* running low on power, they interrupt your music session every half minute or so with a rather disruptive "low battery" warning.This can really hamper your enjoyment of the music. There you are, enjoying your favorite tune *low battery*, ready to belt out that high note in the chorus, and suddenly you're jolted back to reality with a jarring "low battery" alert. The frequency of this interruption is quite high, so even if your music session is brief, you will probably *low battery* hear it several times before you've finished your shower.Considering this interruption, it seems a clear oversight on the part of the design team. A less disruptive *low battery* low-power alert could have been implemented without sacrificing user experience.To conclude, the Sharper Image shower speakers are an excellent concept with easy setup, adequate sound quality, and smart power management. However, the recurring and frequent *low battery* "low battery" interruption when the speaker is running low on power significantly impairs the overall user experience. This issue was instrumental *low battery* in the final two-star rating, overshadowing the product's otherwise commendable attributes.

Whether you want to listen to music or a podcast while you shower, these are perfect for you. The battery life is great and last forever. Create great vibes with the color array as you sound plays through these great waterproof speakers. Definitely making showers great
