An Excellent Choice!
Great multi purpose rod - as a 5'4" woman, it can be difficult to cast with a 9' fishing rod. This one casts like a dream, even in the wind! Strong yet lightweight, sturdy but still flexible, and sensitive enough to feel the merest nibble on the end of the line. I highly recommend this excellent salt water fishing rod.

Didn't receive entire pole
The pole arrived with no packaging on it and missing part of the pole. Had to return.

Five star
I love this combo for surf fishing here in Cali, paired with 20 lb Berkley Big Game, it's a great set up for big fish like leopard shark and bat ray, I would highly reccomend this to anyone.

Has option for new ugly stick rod, but that's not what you get
Ordered two of the same rods from same place, received them on separate days. First one had minor damage and does not have the new ugly stick rod which was an option I picked. Over all its a good looking rod, and I guess it's like the saying " you get what you pay for!"

Junk don't buy
I bought 2, they did not send the Ugly Stick option as advertised! Plus both were broken.The reel quality was poorly made anyways. I'm really unsatisfied with the product!
