I went All In and it APPREARS that I lost the bet
I appreciate that Mark Batterson has written many books about increasing your faith. I liked Grave Robber so much that I bought 5 more including this one. I started with Circle Maker and had to put it down because it actually seemed wrong somehow. So I read (most) of All In. It seemed to have "principals" that made more sense. Despite having the sense that the book can bring about a sort of envy in that his stories all have happy endings, and I didn't seem to be getting a happy ending to things, my husband and I went "All In". And had disappointment for the very reason I just stated - it does not appear to have worked out for us, so having written testimony that "If it happened to (whomever), God can and will do it for you" has the POTENTIAL to make some very well meaning, God loving Christians left feeling like God plays favorites. I am working through that right now. And I know that I will come out of the disappointment and despondency because, frankly, there is no where to go besides Jesus, but this book in ways can set you up for some very, very tough lessons and hurt. The three stars are because I did learn some things - just not what the book wanted me to learn.

Get ready for the greatest adventure of your life with Jesus!
Be prepared to have your excuses stripped away and be confronted with the Truth: do you follow Jesus or do you live your life expecting Him to follow you? This powerful book is an easy read, but an intense examination of what your life looks like, and why it looks that way. Batterson's clarion call to act as a disciple of Jesus is a clear progression of understanding what God calls us to in our lives, and how we can actually take steps to meet the opportunities He places before us. Highly recommended if you're ready to stop giving lip service to being Christian and ready to go all in for Jesus.

My prayer for the "Church" in America to live All In
One of the most amazing, challenging, convicting and exciting books I have ever read. It was a clear summary and conclusion to what God has been speaking into my life the past several months. This book crystallizes things in such a fantastic way. If you can read this and still walk away the same, you missed the message not from the author but from God Himself. For every core message of this book aligns with God's word and the author does an amazing job putting it in a way anyone can relate to. Read at your own risk and only if you are tired of a flat spiritual life.

An absolutely home-run book! I give it 25 stars ...
An absolutely home-run book! I give it 25 stars! If you do not want to grow spiritually and step up your devotion and commitment to evangelism, do not read this book. It is not for those who want to stay weak and play on the edges of christianity and their faith! I will use it in a second class in February, 2018.

I LOVE this book
I LOVE this book.....As a Christian it really challenges you regarding your faith, trust in God, your obedience and just overall relationship with the Lord....You will take lots of notes because Pastor Battering really gives you food for thought and hits you in the face with point after point....It took me over a year to finish this book not because it's long or me being a slow reader but because it's That Good!! and there's so much to marinate and meditate on...I've given it as gifts to friends and family as well as coworkers and I've told countless more about it.....

Absolutely Fantastic
I have not read anything by this author that hadn’t touched my heart and this book did no different! So many quotable lines on each page. So many informative and uplifting stories to show believers that they are not alone and that some of the greatest of all time were believers too! He has a way with words that encourage, inspire, enlighten, and opens you up in ways like never before. I’m an artist and to do what I do requires BIG levels of faith and he has a way of helping me stay encouraged on my journey. His words are confirming and I feel closer to God as I walk my destiny path now. All in is the perfect way to describe me and I’m inspired and motivated to continue my journey going all in for the All in all. Can’t wait to read the next book!

A Challenging Book
Mark Batterson makes a case for the fact that Christians often say they are following Jesus when they really are inviting Jesus to follow them. Many of us have “bought in” to Christianity but we haven’t “sold out.”Missionaries a century ago bought a one way ticket on board a ship when going to the mission field. And they each packed all their belongings in a coffin. They didn’t expect to return.Batterson says: “Jesus didn’t die to keep us safe. He died to make us dangerous.” (pg 13)All In is a challenging book with many stories and biblical examples of those who did go “all in”; totally committed and giving their all to Christ. As I read this book two songs came to mind – “I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no holding back” and “Take my life and let it be consecrated, Lord to thee…”This book will inspire and teach us how to consecrate ourselves to Him and do everything for His glory.

Am I All In?
We finally have to ask ourselves this question, and it is better sooner than later. Am I all in and if so, what am I currently all in for? Being all in for anything of this world eventually brings disappointment. Disappointment leads many to pay hundreds of dollars an hour for someone else to help us find out who we are. Yet, this book discusses how the One who made us, knows our purpose and the only way to find our inner fulfillment; being ALL IN with Him!

Excellent book
Such a good book, challenging but so encouraging. Mark is a good communicator, I have read one of his other books too. Excellent. Really recommend this and The circle maker.

great book if you haven't ready any of mark batterson's book
Mark is one of my favorite authors but he just keeps on using the same stories and the same examples from his previous books. Chapter 1 of All In is just a ripped off from his book wild goose chase. Mark wrote about how the church should be creative, I guess he should also start being creative as an author. To create means making something out of nothing but as I read through his new book is like I'm just reading wild goose chase and primal all over again. But if you haven't read any of Mark Batterson's book, this book is for you!

great book full of wisdom
Thanks for listening to what God has put in your heart. It is only by sharing these words that were birthed from a deep search for truth that you help a fellow traveller on the narrow path. Thanks for the call to go all in. I have.
