Works great.
Great tool. Catch a small lithium 12v battery online and solar charger to keep it charged or plug it into a power port on vehicle.

Every chainsaw owner needs one.
My last one died after 20 years of use. I can sharpen a 24” chain in about 5 minutes saving $15 or more that the hardware store would’ve charge each time I use it.

Great tool
Once I set it up for the correct blade it cut down sharpening time to a quarter of a hand file. It comes with a 3/16" stone so buy a few extras or different sizes you may need for the chain saw blades. This has a threaded shank on the stones so make sure you get the stones with a thread not the ones with a 1/8" unthreaded shank. I used "Oregon 31401 3/16-Inch Threaded Chain Saw Sharpening Stones 3-Pack"

Granberg does great on there Alaskan sawmills but there sharpener is not ...
I bought an Oregon 12v and a Granberg 12v sharpener at the same time. Granberg does great on there Alaskan sawmills but there sharpener is not as good as the Oregon 12 volt. Granberg grinding shaft has threaded shaft and to reverse it will unthread. Oregon has straight shaft with a locking collar. I like to reverse the pos. and neg. connections to reverse to motor and then you are able to sharpen into the point on each left and right cutter tooth. Note: I always clamp a used bar into the vice and roll the chain on the bar to sharpen. Also on the first sharpening I hit the chain with the round file to put the roundness in the tooth and then on the grinder does pretty good. be safe
