This book was recommended to me by my dentist when I got engaged. Both my husband and I read it after our wedding and felt it had tons of great advice. It makes you realize things from your partners perspective and focuses on honoring your partner. I feel that Zig hit the nail on the head when he discusses how often your partner's feelings might not be logical or make sense to you but your relationship with them outweighs being right and to honor your partner is to respect their feelings and put your relationship first. I recommend it to all couples, struggling or not!

After being married 3 years myself I wish I'd read this book at the beginning of my marriage so I could have done it better! Zig Ziglar is straight to the point putting absolute faithfulness as the number 1 in a marriage. Zig being a faithful Christian himself can write from experience. The book is founded on Scripture which makes it absolutely trustworthy in my opinion.I love this book because it addresses all the little things in marriage that shouldn't really matter but just do! This book is about how we can be the best husband/wife possible to our spouse. I recommend couples to read this book together to get the full benefit and to discuss the issues in a way Zig Ziglar suggests that normally can't be mentioned!If you want a book that guarentees to give you the best marriage you can ever imagine (which isn't just a marriage of man and woman but includes the Lord Jesus as our binding link) then buy this book - you won't regret it! Be prepared to look deeply into yourself and admit your own mistakes. It will be a blessing and will deepen the marriage bond.

He's got some good tips and I like Zig's focus on unselfishness and the importance of praying and reading the Word with your wife. The downside was that he seems to elevate himself because of his friendships with presidents and multi-millionaires. I thought to myself, "Does position or wealth determine the character of someone?"

I loved the audiobook so much I had to get the book so I can take notes. It has a test at the end that I recommend. The wisdom of this book is that Zig is talking about the basic principles of love, relationship between human beings and how to make it all work. So simple yet so powerful, as simple things make a massive difference. He showed me a different perspective on various aspects of love which I haven’t considered before and what actually really does make sense. His marriage experience and loving relation he shares with his wife are perfect examples why what he's saying is true. Numbers of divorces nowadays skyrocket. People are looking for easy solutions, quick fixes without much of an effort and contribution. Zig shows the way how to create an extraordinary relationship to be able to live happily ever after.Some readers may be put off by author’s referral to the Bible however the essence is love, respect, happiness and fulfilment, they stay the same regardless. Highly recommended.
