Cracking the Code

Great, but a bit too early in his career
I got this to learn more about Ayshmann Khurrana and his rise as an actor. First saw him in Dum Laga Ke Haisha and loved that movie. First Bollywood movie I ever saw and now I watch lots of them and even trying to learn some Hindi. While I would have liked to see more in this book, especially on his getting the role for Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Ayushmann Khurrana certainly has not had a quick rise to fame as some indicate. He definitely put in his dues from an early start. This guy wars lots of hats all at once, and gives everything 100%, including his family life (which is refreshing). So for someone trying to succeed as an actor, he defintely shows what it takes and the hard work that has to get put into anything you want to succeed at. Good sound practical advise. I hope he will update this book sometime in the next 10 years after he has been a star for a lot longer and experienced lots more.

Incorrect (or maybe misleading) book title
The book title gives an impression that the book will be about how to get a break into Bollywood, but the book is more about the evolution of AK and all the different gigs he did to reach where he is today. Though he is a commendable actor, but its very early to read his autobiography and totally not a worth read to understand the challenges of getting in the industry and different ways to get into Bollywood. Two stars for only one Paragraph: "I truly believe that if you have sown the seeds of desire, there is no way that life wouldn’t give you an opportunity to reap the fruits of it. The choice then is personal: whether you want to see those seeds develop or stunt their growth or even uproot them. The choice is always given and the choice is always yours.”

Must read book those who aspires for film industry.
I just finished reading this book today. There are no such practical codes to crack in the bollywood. These are just general thoughts. It doesn't mean that this book is useless. You will definitely learn many practical things that will be of great significance for you.Sometimes we feel that if we win this or that reality show, then we will make career out of it. But the reality is exposed in this book, what happens in the reality. What we think, is it true? Or how can we make it come true? Much more useful information is given as such. But you have to gather useful information from it with your own brain. If you read it as a story, then you will learn nothing. If you think deep on some points, then the hidden messages will be revealed to you. Overall, this book is worth buying.

Brilliant narration and analysis of Ayushmann's journey
Brilliant narration and analysis of Ayushmann's journey. I found the book authentic and a life changer if implemented diligently. But I don't think the code that is cracked in this book is limited to the tinsel town. I can assure everyone it is a good read for people aspiring for success in life in any avenue. The codes that he highlights are universal and achievable. I am awaiting for more books from him with bated breath. This man is talented to the core.

Ayushmann Khurana’s book has a striking resemblance to his persona
Anyone who follows Ayushmann Khurrana on Twitter is familiar with his midnight musings and his flair for poetry and writing. Thankfully, his novel too offers the same passion and love. The book revolves around his journey with Roadies, stints with radio, being a VJ to bagging a movie with YRF.True to his persona, the book too has a conversational narrative which is a testament to the fact about how humble and passionate he is as a person. This no-holds-barred book has a lot of elements of self-introspection which is not only helpful for other aspiring actors but for people as a whole. It’s a short and easy read and literally feels like a friend is narrating his life story over a cup of tea. With all the honesty and earnestness that the book contains, you’re sure to respect him much more.Bits of brilliance:~ (After attending his first Bollywood party) The elite world had depressed me- not because I wasn’t a part of it, but because I was being forced to be a part of it in order to become an actor.~ The fraternity feels like family. It’s another thing that I still get star-struck when Shahrukh Khan enters the room. Some things just don’t change.~ Tahira and I have our fair share of disagreements; it’s just that the tabloids don’t get to know about it.~ If you ever spot me smiling like a goofy idiot, I must be thinking about her and the wonderful moments that we have shared.~ The truth is that a majority of the films are made just because the star pair's dates are available. Some films are made because the producer and his wife want to holiday abroad. The reasons why films get made are as random and bizarre as that. Passionate filmmakers are an exception to that rule.~ The point is to be positive and optimistic. If you can be even half as energetic as Ranveer Singh, you are on the right track!

My first book !!
This book will always be special for me because prior to this I never read any books or novels in my entire life. This book was so intriguing that a novice like me accomplished reading this book in just three sitting. The respect and liking for Ayushman has definitely heightened after knowing his hard work and tenacious attitude.
