I like it so far. I've used it four times now. I wash my hair every other day. It gets my hair just as clean as bottle shampoo. It doesn't lather as much as bottle shampoo, but you can still feel it in your hair if that makes sense. I think I might be overusing the bar each time, but it's a bit of a learning experience for me right now trying to learn just how much to use. I can't really comment on how long it will last since I'm only a few uses in. I recommend that keeping this bar soap in a well-draining soap dish outside of your shower to prevent it from dissolving too quickly. The light coconut scent is nice. The soap does rinse out with a reddish tint, because the bar itself is a rusty, red color. This does not stain or discolor my hair at all. It rinses right out, so don't be alarmed the first time you use it. It will all come out. This bar soap claims to soften hair. No shampoo I have ever used has left my hair feeling soft enough to not need conditioner. I did need to use a small amount on my ends, but that's not a deal breaker for me since all shampoos are like this in my personal experience. If it lasts 2 months like it claims, I'll keep using bar shampoo. The soap is packaged in a small cardboard box and wrapped in a biodegradable plastic film that breaks down in a matter of months. Unfortunately, it arrived in a huge padded, plastic shipping envelope. It would be nice if they had a more eco-friendly way to ship it. I'm trying to find ways to cut down on my own plastic consumption, so the plastic envelope was a little bit a womp womp moment when it arrived.

I used this product to wash my curly/wavey hair. I have been avoiding silicone and sulfate products for a few years to reduce frizz. I have always struggled with finding a SLS free shampoo that can stop my dandruff and gave up on that dream. This shampoo bar stopped my dandruff which was unexpected and nice. I like that it's solid as I travel a lot for up to 3 weeks at a time (I kept it in a candle tin). I like the smell and that it came in minimal packaging. The bar breaks down very easily and crumbles into big chunks which I personally did not like. When I would try to put it on my hair I would just give me tangles . What I do now is detangle and section hair into 4 parts and using a hair coloring bowl I dissolve the red clay shampoo with hot water. After creating a liquid mixture of the shampoo I grab a coloring brush and apply the watery paste to my hair sections on the scalp . I let it sit for a minute and go into the shower to scrub with a scalp brush . I'm going to try other shampoo bars to see if they're more solid but would repurchase this if I can't find another bar I enjoy. I will definitely try their other products like their conditioner bar soon.

Amazing!!!It’s hard to find a shampoo that fits all my requirements. Vegan, zero-waste, sulfate free, non-drying, safe for the planet and my body, and actually cleans my hair. This is the one!I have long wavy/curly hair that tends to be dry. I also have an oily scalp prone to buildup and dandruff. This shampoo is absolutely perfect for my hair. It manages to clean the scalp without drying the hair out, and best of all it’s affordable and environmentally conscious. My hair is now clean, soft, and smooth.And the smell is amazing! It’s a warm, coconut/chocolate/vanilla scent that almost smells like cinnamon to me, if that makes sense. Love it.EDIT: Several months later and I’ve finished the shampoo bar. I will be buying another one, but I think my review has dropped from 5 to 4 stars. On days that my hair is particularly greasy, this shampoo struggles to fully clean it! So I keep another shampoo bar around as a clarifying shampoo to use every other week or so. Second, this shampoo bar is super messy. Not a big deal or anything, but as it gets thinner it starts to crumble and gets harder to use. It will leave reddish streaks in your shower if you forget to rinse it down the drain. Still love it a lot!

I’ve used this bar for a month. It fits the budget and I can replace everything but conditioner with it. The ph balance claims are also true. You won’t be left with build up on your hair, no breakouts on your face, and no irritation everywhere else. It doesn’t leave soap scum. This shampoo bar is hard, which is a pro because it won’t melt down in the shower, but the con is it does take longer to suds up. It smells like straight coconut and it leaves your hair feeling really clean. I switch between this and the Ethique Heali Kiki shampoo bar to cover most of my needs in the shower. if I HAD to pick I’d chose the ethique because of my dandruff. The ethique wash is also more luxurious. That being said this Reef Safe shampoo bar is a good standard shampoo. No plastic when it arrived. Just a paper box. If you have normal hair, and just want a good shampoo bar this one is good. In my case it’s cheaper than running through bars of Ethique one. Ethique is $16 compared to this one which was $9. I like them both for different reasons and so there is a place in my shower for both.

I brought this because everyone said it made their hair super smooth, hydrated and soft, and other eco-friendly shampoo bars have dried out my scalp and made it itchy. It did in fact leave me with those desired results so im glad i bought it. The shampoo is coconut scented but is terracotta color and the conditioner is tangerine scented but is white, so dont get them mixed up! Both shampoo and conditioner is pretty difficult to lather up because they do not foam like soap, so i found it helps to wet it and rub it into your ends section by section and work upwards then comb through in the shower.

This was my first solid shampoo. I was looking just to get rid of all the plastic bottles in my shower, when I saw this one was safe for oceans. I am scuba diver and love the water, so I had to at least try it. It was a little bit of an adjustment on how to use, but I found it is actually easier for me. For reference my hair is very long and very thick, hair down to my hips/tailbone and 4.3 inches in ponytail circumference.I have been sulfate/silicone free for about 2 years and this bar is working just as well if not better than my normal bottled shampoo. I am totally converted to the shampoo bars.

This is the second shampoo bar I've tried and is by far my favourite. It leave my hair feeling fluffy and clean like traditional shampoo. It is easy to apply and lather and washes out easily. I'm still an amature when it comes to shampoo bars so I probably use too much, but I think it's still better vaule than traditional shampoo and much better for the environment! Great product, buying more as I'm writing this review!

I’m not that keen on this product. It promised me softness and manageability but what I got was brown residue everywhere in the shower and dried out hair that knots really easily. Yes, it is much better for the environment but I’m still spending money on bottles of conditioner for my hair. Oh well, I gave it a try but there are better ones on the market.

I am trying to decrease the products that I use that are in multiple layers of plastic wrapping. This product was in a cardboard box. The shampoo and conditioner leaves my hair lovely soft and clean and smells amazing.

The product is great however, the packaging that is required to sell it in negates the actual purchase of the product which is about helping the environment. If there were easier means of getting the products, I would suggest it

Bad quality and bad smelll. Item arrived all broken and smashed up.
