This torque wrench is made in China.

Hi! The calibration of the wrench should be checked at least once a year, after any abnormal handing or overloading, or after 5000 cycles ("clicks"). You can calibrate by yourself according to the instructions, or you can ask a professional to help you calibrate. Thank you for your question.

Q: What material is the lock knob use to lock or unlock this torque wrench?

I assume it is the same metal as the rest of the wrench. I have had one for 2 years, absolutely no problems.

Q: Is it possible to adjust it to 2.5nm? What are the increment steps?

It will adjust to 2.49nm in .22nm increments
