Excellent quality device with all the ports you need
Very useful to connect a MacBook Air to Ethernet, printer, external drive, full-size keyboard and a monitor. Just a perfect design with exactly the ports I needed and from Anker whose products I have bought before and trusted. As another reviewer noted, the USB cable could be a little longer but that said, if I tidied my desk it would work just fine. No problems at all in use so very happy.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do with a very compact footprint
Key point over any other dock/adapter I have tried is that in addition to other positives on usage and quality, it is detected at boot so I can boot up linux from an external SSD - which frees up limited on-board connections. I have yet to see this with any other dock/adapter. Using this on HP 15-df0002na. Had nothing but trouble with both HP and Lenovo docks - either intermittently having hardware ID not recognised (Lenovo C116) and when that does work, disappears after sleep. On HP Elite USB-C (TPA-B01) screen resolution cannot get to 4K, regularly not even detected in OS/Device Manager. This Anker (A83380A1) works straight out of the box. Never had an issue with it and is rock solid stable. Sure, it doesn't put out 4K@60Hz, but then it clearly says it doesn't. I takes up one port and doesn't require separate power. It would be nice if it did passthrough power, but at this price point (I paid £30) it's money well spent, so much so that I'm ordering another as a spare.

Usual Anker quality
Brilliant piece of kit and lovely quality, all the ports have very snug quality connections on, unit is full metal body. All ports work with no need to install any drivers (unable to install anything without an admin password on my work laptop) No speed difference from the ethernet port using the hub vs straight into ethernet port on laptop (have not tested if speeds drop when ethernet and USB usage is high - only use it for plugging in mouse and keyboard) Unit does get quite warm to the touch but doesnt seem to affect it in any way Comes with a nice branded carry pouch

Works with MacBook Pro M1 Max and Samsung M8
Works as advertised (although I haven’t tried HDMI). Purchased to use Ethernet and add a few USB-A ports to my MacBook Pro M1 Max. Ethernet is fast and stable and the attached headset and printer work as expected. Interestingly, this also all works on my MacBook when the Anker hub is attached to the second USB-C port on my Samsung M8 monitor (when connected by the first USB C port and with USB source set to ‘USB-C’, although you’re limited by the USB speed of the monitor [~320mbps / unless you set the monitor the 30Hz, then you get full speed]). Good stuff ✅

Works perfectly
This is godly, has everything + HDMI where you can extend desktop not just duplicate! External monitor can go up to 1080 75hz which runs perfectly. I think it effect the auto start of a monitor, I have to press the on button of the monitor instead of pressing space bar for example. Ethernet port works perfectly, and so do the USBs. I am careful when taking it with me, the USB-c is sturdy, I connect and disconnect every day and hasn’t had any visible wear and tear yet. Overall great product.

Good Quality Hub
This is a slim and very nice quality hub/dock. The body is made of Anodised aluminium, and has a nice braided cable going to the USB C connector. It has a a small soft cloth pouch that protects both the device and anything it might come into contact with. It has no power supply input so only supports up to 900 mA across the 3 USB ports, but is fine for memory sticks, keyboard/mouse receivers and other low power peripherals. It includes a 4K capable HDMI connector and a Gigabit Ethernet port. Overall a very neat, and seemingly well made hub.

Works well with MacBook Pro including fussy peripherals
This seems quite well-made as well as light, and the plug fits snugly in the USB-C/TB3 socket which is important (some of the cheaper ones are loose, and things cut out if you knock the cable - not on this one, so far anyway). I've been using it with a DJ controller and USB input from a mixing desk, which can be quite fussy, and both are working fine, so am impressed so far (a couple of weeks of daily use). It will get moved around and plugged and unplugged a good deal during its life, so hopefully I'll come back and post an update as to how well is survives that. The only slight frustration is the short cable from the hub to the computer (laptop on high stand) - but that's one reason it's inexpensive; you have to pay quite a lot more for a decent one with a longer removable cable. It's OK, however, as I've just strapped it to the underside of the stand with velcro strips, since it's light, and long enough to do this without obscuring the sockets :) UPDATE: In heavy use and doing the business - impressed enough that I've ordered a second one, to have one in each work location and not need to always remember to bring it with me (!!) - the price has unaccountably gone up quite a lot, but it's still good value, and I'm impressed with everything Anker I've bought so far, so am starting to treat them as a 'trusted brand' :)

Fantastic USB C hub. Compared with other's at a simlar price this device has an awesome build quality - up there with hubs that are twice the price. Would definitley reccomend this product.

Compact dongle with a nice braided cord. Great build quality and I love that the cord lets me move the dongle around so it's perfectly positioned. Great convenience and gives me confidence that it wont damage my laptop. Everything works when I plug it into the dongle. It gives me more functionality on my laptop when I need it. Something very necessary for any macbook user because so many things still need the old USB plugs. It's also great to have an ethernet port for uploading and downloading files.
