Seahorse

This is a great solid case, very strong and durable. I use it to carry my two pistols and gear to the range and when I travel to visit family.The case is very thick sturdy plastic, it has 2 snap and spin latches on the top. They snap into place when pushed down which is definitely enough to keep the case closed. They also have 2 spinning "locks" on them that lock the latches into place so nothing can pop them off. They take quite a bit of force to pop them off though so it would really have to get hit to open up. The handle is very thick and has multiple mount points at the joint to keep it from breaking off of the box, it also snaps down against the case so while in transit the handle isn't bouncing and flying all over the place. It snaps in place in the down position.The inside of the case is very well made, the lid has a multi layered edge so the place where the lid meets the bottom is covered. There is also a rubber gasket that lines the outside to keep water out. I don't think this will keep pressure to well though but I have read of people flying with these things. The lid has the egg crate foam lined across it and is glued in or something because it stays put when opened.The bottom half has a pre-perforated foam block in it that doesn't go all the way to the bottom. Under the block is another piece of foam that covers the bottom of the case so if you need to use the entire depth of the foam block your items are not sitting on the plastic. The foam block is perforated into squares and are still attached enough that if you cut an area out the rest holds in place.I used a steak knife to cut all my pieces out and that seemed to work the best. Word of advice though if you pack multiple things in it like I did leave at minimum two squares between items. One square between gets flimsy and will rip then your two holes will be one oblong hole.For reference to my image I have added two more ammo boxes at the in front of the two (total of 400 rounds) and a few more mag holes since I took this picture . In the picture I have two 100 round ammo box holes at the back, Glock17 on the left with three mags, M&P9 on the right with two mags, fold-able ear protection next to the glock, eye protection next to the glock mags and my glock speed loader to the right of that.All in all its a great sturdy box, I can load it up and toss it in my trunk when i travel and I don't worry one bit about anything getting ruined. I store which ever firearm I am not carrying in the box when its not being used however I leave the lid open and keep the guns oiled up regularly. The foam will pull all moisture out of the box because its so dry and can rust the guns if left in a closed box too long without cleaning/oil.

Pros: Well made, does the job (in my case protecting a small telescope during transport). Latches are convenient and secure. Cubed foam is easy to customize.Cons: None! This is my third Seahorse case and all three have been perfect.

I absolutely love this case, you just know the moment you hold it that whatever you plan to put inside will be safe. Always double check that it comes with the foam though, nearly got caught out thinking I was saving a few $
