I’ve had it three years
I have had this microphone for three years I use this to teach Pilates and Yoga. I once used to teach 150 in a large gymnasium and the sound was amazing. I recommended to others. Yes the headset requires a little finagling but so do others and it’s easy to remedy. I would say mine holds a charge about three hours. Just peaked in to see if they were still making this. I’m going to purchase another one because I am beginning to lose a little bit of charge length but …it’s three years old, and I have put it through the wringer. Just don’t want to get stuck without one if it goes belly up. So I will use the new one and keep this one as a backup. Highly recommend . Love, love, love the case it comes in.

Good quality
I teach spin classes and the sound on this headphone set it perfect! I gave it only 4 stars because the mic itself is a little heavy, so I am constantly having to adjust it. BUT the noise level and durability are way better than ones I have used in the past so I just go with it.

Works great but melting issue with charging, please read
Just received my 3rd Kimafun headset microphone. I teach classes at our local Y pool. The 1st microphone piece melted when being charged over the weekend. We were not sure why it melted but we wrote to the company and they replaced the entire unit. I started taking the unit home to charge, and it worked well for quite a few months. Then, the microphone piece melted again while charging. This time I ordered a new one because I need it to teach and did not want to wait for the Y to contact the company and the company to respond (it works really well for my class) . I wrote to the company myself after ordering. I was charging directly into a USB port built into my end table. The reply was "Excessive current caused the charger to be burned out. Instead of plugging the charging cable directly into a wall port, you can try using a low-power charging head (such as the most common cell phone charging head) as a relay." I again wrote to the company "As a consumer, I assumed the manufacturer was supplying the appropriate charging device. It came supplied with a dual charger with USB end and no further instructions. I don't think it is unreasonable to assume the charger could be plugged directly into a USB outlet." The response was "Thank you for your reminder. We have reminders on the product page and in the charging chapter of the manual that we recommend using a 5V, 1A-2A charging head. But we really didn't take into account the situation where plugging directly into a wall USB socket would cause excessive voltage. I thought you could share this with other buyers through reviews on Amazon as well. We will consider updating this warning on website. Thanks again for your advice." I never saw or read this instruction in the small booklet that came with the product. The company did responded to my inquiries quickly and did give me a work around. I have been very happy using the product while teaching my class, however, I will only charge now if I am in the room. If it happens again, I will have to look elsewhere for a similar product

2024 EDIT
A friend of mine read my review and told me I had given only 3 stars, so I feel as if I need to update and change to 5 stars. I teach about 230-280 classes a year at the Y and this mic is still going strong after 4 years. I couldn’t possibly ask for more. I’ve kept the wording of my original review as written, because there really wasn’t anything to change. I did solve the “drooping” mic by wrapping the extended part with wire, so it always stays in place, but that doesn’t change the fact that “as is” you may have a problem with it falling a little. It still works better on the stereos that accept the larger size Jack than the smaller. But 4 years of good service for this price? 5 stars all the way. I use this mic when teaching Les Mills Bodypump classes at some local YMCAs. At one Y, the receiver part plugs directly into the stereo mic jack and the sound is EXCELLENT. At the other Y the receiver piece plugs into a wireless unit that is meant for another type of mic and the sound is not very good. So, the key thing to know here is that the sound may vary depending on your setup. The main reason I purchased it is that the transmitter is in the mic itself; I hate the wireless mics that have clip on transmitters that you wear at your waist. The headset fits well and can be bent to adjust to your head size. Several of us use this type of mic and some of my friends have had to use rubber bands to adjust for head size and those work well also. My only real complaint (and some of my friends have the same issue) is that the wire attaching the mic to the headset is not very stiff; the mic often falls below my chin and I have to readjust. That’s kind of a big deal, hence my rating of only 3 stars, but I still prefer this to any mic with a separate wearable transmitter. Other observations: Charging is easy and it always lasts through my hour long class (but I’ve never tested how long it will run on a charge). The case is excellent. I’ve never had an issue syncing the receiver and headset. I teach about 60 feet from the stereo and the connection is perfect.

Other than receiver working loose from the speaker, works great.
Receiver that plugs into the speaker tends to shake loose if you’re on a bumpy road. I used a 18 inch cable extension, wrapped the excess wire around the speaker and problem solved.

Never worked for me.
What a disappointment. Instructions were awful. I returned the first set after customer service told me it was defective bc I couldn’t get it to work. I suspect she was wrong. I bought a new Bose speaker with 20w, thought it would work. It didn’t. When I again called for help the agent sent me a video. I told her I’d already watched it 5 times and it didn’t help. So I watched it while she stayed on the line. She still couldn't help me. I returned it. What a puzzle. I honestly don’t know how others got it to work. I tried everything I could think of, to no avail. Over and over again. I’m done with Kimafun.
