Love that it is clear and does stain clothing or sheets. If you are looking for a natural medium tan this is your product. It is definitely not a dark tan. Left on for one hour then moisturized. Kept on all night then showered the next morning. I have very dry skin. Lasted over a week and was not spotty.

Love this mousse! Goes on smooth, dries quickly, and gives a natural, streak-free tan. No orange tint, no strong self-tanner smell, and the color lasts for days. Easy to build up for a deeper glow. Definitely works—highly recommend! I used a glove to apply and followed up with my regular lotion. The pictures are after I showered from a full day of it on. You can see where I missed applying it. Just look at that color-white to tanned! I also reapplied to those spots and kept it on overnight and it looks blended now. Didn’t stain my sheets. I purchased this because of cost. I used to use coco & honey but in two months they up’s their price to $40. I will be using this brand now!

Pros: the color is a great summer glow! The smell is actually pretty good which is unusual for self tanners Cons: there’s no guide color so you have to make sure you pay attention when putting the product on, especially on your back. It does transfer so be careful on white or if you have blond hair, make sure it’s fully pulled back after it’s applied and after you wash it off. Even after washing with soap, and using a wipe, there is still product coming off, so protect your beautiful blond mane by keeping all hair off your face and neck (so you won’t turn brassy- and blond shampoo won’t fix it either!!) All in all- I really love this self tanner and I use it weekly. But if you are buying it thinking it’s fully fool proof and non transferring, it’s not!

You need a mitten to apply the mousse. It goes on much easier. Smells so good! Excellent products!

I’m super pale and I find that the Dark mousse needs about 4 back to back applications to be the darkest it can be. Basically 2x daily applications to get the darkest shade fast. I apply the 1st application the night before and make sure to get my hands. The only part of my body during this application that will actually develop a tan are hands, kind of just working to “prime” my body for the next applications and not develop much at all. In the morning I’ll shower as usual then afterward do the 2nd application SKIPPING my hands. I’ll apply extra to coats to the areas that fade the quickest/take the longest to develop then use baby powder to set it. On the evening of the second day, when I take my third shower, I’ll exfoliate my hands to even them out and use a very soapy sponge to lightly exfoliate my entire body - this step is crucial - I make sure to focus on any darkness that may have accumulated on my knees/elbows or any areas looking patchy. After the shower I do my third application and make sure to do my hands again and again, apply extra coats to any areas that take forever to develop. I will apply extra to any part of my face that hasn’t developed well OR to the places I want to tantour. On the morning of the third day my tan will be pretty much at the shade I want, but I’ll double after my shower and apply a 4th layer, skipping the hands. I know it’s a lot, but it’s worth it because Tanologist is hands down the most FOOOOLPROOF self Tanner I’ve ever used. Like, I’ve never used anything that fades as well as this does. The fact this is needs to be built up is a Pro rather than a con because there’s literally no way that you can accidentally mess this up (unless you don’t blend it well or don’t blend it into dry skin). If you use moisturizer prior to this product, it will develop much slower. If you sweat while you are wearing this, it will not develop at all. Skin needs to be kept completely dry. I really recommend using baby powder/body powder to dry the skin and tone down the scent of it. This doesn’t dry my skin out or make me itch like Btan does, also, this has never caused me any skin issues or acne. This is wonderful on the face. Word of warning, once the tan is built up, if you don’t moisturize your skin the tan will start breaking down, impart a “dried up cracked riverbed” look and appear as if it’s flaking off. Using a good moisturizer will extend the tan’s longetivty for a week or longer, but I find that I need to apply it to my face every 2-3 days because I double cleanse and use a sponge to exfoliate my face daily. No complaints, highly recommend it! One bottle gets a minimum of 4 maximum of 5 treatments, and more = more.

This is absolutely my new favorite self tanner! My old self tanner that I love is starting to become hard to buy as it’s a European company that stopped selling to the US after the whole tariffs debacle and the only 1 product they still had available to buy on Amazon keeps selling out. I’ve tried many other self tanners that I did not like so I was a little skeptical on trying this one as I’ve also not been a fan of mousse. The application was very easy, I probably used more than enough so now I can gauge how much I need as to not waste product. At first, during the 1st few hours I still wasn’t too sure if I was going to like it (I applied it in the morning after my shower). Come night time before bed, the color was perfect(I bought the medium)! I did not take another shower until the next morning to really get a good deep color and it did not stain my bedsheets or anything. Will definitely buy again. Sorry forgot to take before/after pics.

Applies nicely on application but doesn’t give a dark tan and it goes SO patchy after a couple of days despite moisturising daily. Won’t be repurchasing

This false tan is amazing . I have tried many over the years and have very sensitive skin and many make me itch . This one is a lovely colour , lasts about 2 weeks and develops nicely with no itchy skin !!!
