Works as intented
I picked up this for my Lenovo Thinkpad W520 and it works as advertised. It has the slots (though not the pins) for a Dual Link DVI Cable (24 pin), which is perfect because it makes it compatible to use with that type of cable, which is what I had. I get 1920x1080 resolution.Shipping was also more quickly than estimated. I am pleased with this product and would recommend it.

Allow a 2nd monitor on ThinkCentre M78 and other ThinkCentre PCs
Works perfectly for a 2nd monitor to the built-in display port.I am using Windows 7 Pro. I just plug this cable to the 2nd monitor which has a DVI port. Then I used the Display icon in Control Panel and had it detect the 2nd screen. So within 30 seconds I had it working.I would purchase this again.

Not for my intended use.
For the application that I bought it for it didn't work too good. Maybe for other applications it those. Very good build quality.

Showed second display in color for two days, now just shows in grayscale only
This 6 inch cable has a DisplayPort connector on one end and a DVI-female connector on the other end. It was very simple to plug the monitor cable into one end and the other end to the Lenovo. This cable allowed me to attach two 1920x1080 monitors to my Lenovo, making my telecommuting more productive. When I started using this cable for the third day, it would only show the second monitor in grayscale. There are no other issues, but it takes a while to get used to, and I don't surf the Internet on this monitor.

Fast Service but the wrong part for me
I should have research this a little further before I made my purchase. It wan't the right adapter for the the second monitor I needed to connect to my Lenovo All-in-one Desktop PC. Turns out I needed a USB 2.0 to VGA/DVI/HDMI Video Graphics Adapter which wound up being approximately $35. Service was fast! I only gave one star because it wasn't the right part, it looked like it would be from the picture and from the description, but it wasn't the right one for what I need. Also, I would have retuned it but the the original order with shipping cost me $17 and change and it would have cost me another $6 for return shipping.

Does the job.
Fully functional and does the job. We needed a way to connect multiple monitors to a newer desktop that had one VGA and 2 DisplayPorts. We already had monitors that had DVI but no DisplayPort and this cable has worked for us.

Lenovo DVI Cable Single Link Monitor Cable
The Lenovo DVI Cable Single Link Monitor Cable worked great for me by allowing me to connect a second high-def monitor to my laptop. I plugged it into the display port in the the back of the docking station and then connected the female end of the single link cable to the male end of the cable that is connected to my second monitor. This appeard to be the best option for connection two displays to a Lenovo laptop/docking station because the DVI single Link cable display port connector is skinny enough to plug in between the primary dvi cable and the power cord. Initially I tried using a Monster Digital Life display port adapter but that was too bulky to fit in this tight spot between the dvi cable and the power cord. Purchasing the cable from Amazon was the best option for me since FRY's didn't have anything in stock in it's Renton WA, store and the local computer stores around the Seattle area seem to have terrible customer service so I don't shop in them.

Does what I need/price is good
Absolutely did what I needed it to do. I have an Apple and PC at home and wanted to be able to use my Apple monitor on both laptops. Connects to the PC so we can go back and forth.
