Samsonite Colombian Leather Flap-Over Laptop Messenger Bag

This bag is really great, fits my 15.6 laptop perfectly. The leather is soft and well stitched as well. The compartment is spacious enough for my power brick, mouse and tablet. This is really a good buy from amazon.

Very well made product as expected from Samsonite, Only niggle is that while the handle through the flap is a great design it does make it slightly fiddly getting something out while standing up. Anyway, hope to get years if use from it and I always get positive comments in its look.

Just received the bag: excellent leather quality, well organized, enough space for laptop, books & a tablet.

I spent ages looking for a nice leather briefcase for work. I went through 2 that didn't last long before I bought this one and that was 3 and a half years ago. Now that might seem a ridiculous time to review, and it is, but the truth is I wanted to wait 6 months to test its durability. I forgot all about the review by that stage.Fast forward to today where a guy from work is looking for a leather briefcase and I find him the link to this and suddenly remember the review, so here goesObviously, the bag is still going strong. No signs of wear and tear. I work as a software developer and my beastly 17'' weighs a tonne and has the thickest bezel I have seen on a laptop. It fits no problem, like a glove to be honest. The main compartment also has room where i store a notebook organiser. There is also room in 3 pouches to store an external hard drive and other bits and pieces. In the rear zip compartment my Bose qc headphones and bento lunchbox fit perfectly. In the front is I have swipe cards, keys, pens etc. I want a bag that stores everything I need for work. I hate having to carry a lunchbox separate and have my headphones clipped on to the side.The buckles on the bag have shown no sign of breaking (usually the first to go with previous bags) and the overall appearance is great. I love this bag. If anything was to happen to it I would go out and buy it again.

I ordered this bag because it was a Samsonite and looked good However, upon unpacking the new bag I was disappointed. First, the bag smells like leather, I don't mind that but, there's also a strong chemical smell to the bag as well. I'm no leather expert but, it seems to me that the leather is not finished properly. The brown dye on the bag comes off if you rub the bag with a tissue paper. I'm surprised that Samsonite would even allow this bag o leave the factory. The dye will most certainly come off on your clothes - especially light coloured clothes. I typically rest the bag on my lap on my 30 min. commute to work. I can just imagine if the bag was to get wet in the rain or snow. I didn't wait to find out and so I immediately returned the bag. It's a waste of good leather and craftsmanship.

This is an amazing bag for it's price. The first impression one would get from it is the quality and craftsmanship of the bag. From the get-go, the dark brown leather is very soft, without the hardness that usually accompanies new leather bags (and has to be broken in). Aesthetically, it looks very professional and well thought-out.Onto the functionality of the bag; the bag offers a flap-over cover - which adds to the aesthetic appeal and professionalism - but may be a bit cumbersome for people who are looking for quick access into the bag. However, on the back of the bag offers a unzipped compartment with a velcro to close it, allowing for quick access to items that you would regularly use.The inside of the bag is also commendable, and well padded. It has two main zipped compartments - one which allows for you to put your laptop and accessories, and the other for miscellaneous items. There is also a smaller front compartment for you to put your wallet, keys, cell-phone and pens.Overall, this bag was an amazing purchase. The only negative that I would consider is that you wouldn't be able to fit in 17" laptops, as it can only hold up to 15" laptops. Other than that, the quality and craftsmanship of the bag is well-done and well thought-out.

Bag is great. Well made and looks the part. It is quite a large bag - relatively heavy - but has three very functional separate pockets with a fourth velcro section at the back (which I don’t use). Would only benefit from a strap to attach it to a carry on wheelie bag for easy of transport around the airport but that is a minor complaint. Overall it is a good bag that won’t disappoint.

Super nice. I paid $100 for mine and it has been used daily for almost 2 years it is in great condition. The back does fade after some time but I can imagine this would happen with anything. Super well built better so than some that I have seen for over twice the price. Looks impeccable love it.

Es un maletín excelente, además con el precio que lo compré. Apreciable a la vista y tacto la calidad del producto hecho con piel, los espacios son justo lo que necesito para mi laptop y accesorios.

Me gusta que es café oscuro y lo puedo combinar con traje y zapatos café oscuro, es más amplio de lo que pensé y bien acolchonado, entran mis documentos holgadamente y hasta una Macbook Pro de 15 pulgadas

El estilo del maletín es de muy buen ver, el precio del portafolio es un poco elevado pero al considerar que es de piel, se justifica su precio. Tiene un estilo rústico pero muy elegante a la vez, los compartimentos son adecuados para cargar con todo lo necesario, incluye compartimento para laptop y el acceso a todos los compartimentos es muy práctico. El servicio de Amazon muy rápido llegando antes de lo planeado.

I am extremely pleased with this bag. The colour and supple quality of the leather exceeded my expectations. Certainly in line with the quality and workmanship I have come to expect with Samsonite products. A great value for the price and I expect this bag will serve me well for many years to come. Highly recommended!

Tengan cuidado, me enviaron un maletin diferente (bastante bonito por cierto), sin embargo no es el que pedí... Por lo demás excelente servicio..

Buen producto, buena calidad, solo que se ve demasiado industrializado, no tan natural como en la foto, me imagino que es cuestión de tiempo en lo que se hace viejo.
