OMGAI 50CM 12 Tubes 576 LED Meteor Shower Rain Lights - Waterproof Drop Icicle Snow Falling Raindrop Cascading Lights for Garden Wedding Party Christmas Shine Multicolor

I've purchased several brands of these falling rain lights in the past 10 years, and this set is the first I liked enough to make part of my "permanent" Christmas decoration regimen. These have a quality feel that makes me hope to have them for 20 years. They are constructed with high brightness, current technology smh 5050 LEDs that are about 3 times brighter than some others. The plastic tubes are relatively robust and formed in a pleasing spiral shape that diffuses the light and looks more attractive during the day. The set has 12 long 50 mm tubes, each containing 48 LED chips on a rigid strip. The blue color is rich and bright. The speed of sequential flashing is correct, and to my eye, it gives the impression of something (like rain) falling naturally. I liked the set well enough to purchase three more. All four sets came in good mechanical and electrical condition, and none failed in any respect during three weeks of exterior display. I can't really attest to the tubes' water resistance. We had one light rain, and none of the 48 tubes showed any condensation afterwards.Some ingenuity is required to hang these tubes. They have two small loops molded into the end caps where the wires enter the tubes. This year, I used 14 gauge copper wire threaded through both loops and over a branches in the tree I decided to decorate. This allowed me to make the tubes hang almost perpendicular to the ground, which I think looks best. My only complaints are (1) the length of wire between the tubes could be longer to allow more options of positioning them in a tree, and (2) the box they come in is not adequate to use for storage.If you're using the lights in an application other than a tree, the distance between them might be about right. I've ordered 3" x 30" mailing tubes to store them between seasons. I found 6 nice white tubes with caps on ebay for about $25.

The media could not be loaded. Don’t normally take the time to write reviews. More like finding the time to do so. However I am very pleased with these lights! Exactly the effect I was going for. Very bright and easy to install. They appear to be holding up well this far in the rain and what little snow we have had thus far. Believe me they will be truly tested in terms of snow because where I live in Erie Pennsylvania is named one of the top 5 “Snowiest Cities” in the United States. I placed the power plug that connects to the outlet end up under the eaves out of direct contact with the elements and seems to be working fine. No issues thus far and they have been up outside since the day after Thanksgiving. Have gotten many pleased compliments on the lights. So yes I am pleased with the purchase. The lights are beautiful and bright. Gave me the effect I wanted without breaking my wallet. The wires used in manufacturing the lights is a smaller gauge than what I am accustomed to seeing in outdoor lights, however they do the job. Not sure of the longevity but if you want something more you are going to pay more. (Always gets me when reading reviews how many people have these unrealistic expectations of a product, expecting a new Porsche for the price of a used V.W. Beetle! ). Again in closing I like the lights a lot. Bright, beautiful, easy to install and doesn’t break the bank. If I get one or two seasons out of them I’m satisfied with my purchase. Hope this helps. I purchased 2 sets of lights to add to those already had. When they arrived one had obviously been returned because it was missing the transformer to plug it in. I returned it and Amazon sent a replacement. However it appears the returned light was the same one that I had returned as it was also missing the transformer.The lights are great. But I have concerns about the company.

I really wanted to give these 5 stars. I bought a few strands last year and put them up around my deck. They worked and looked great but I didn't have enough to go all the way around. This year I got more to add to the existing strand and these 'upgraded' ones had different sized connectors so I can't plug them in together. Very disappointed about that so now I need to buy an extension cord to run the new units separately but they do look very nice. But if you're buying all new, they are very pretty. My old ones have been up since last year and still look decent (no leaks and no rust) but after awhile I'd expect the plastic to get brittle as many of my past decorations had. I'm hoping that the new strands will last even longer. So other than wanting to replace the older strands so they all fit together, they are very nice. (Maybe OMGAI has an adapter?!)UPDATE: Well I don't know if Santa is reading these reviews or it's OMGAI's wonderful customer service but I got 3 new strands in the mail about a month after I posted this. Now I can run all my strands connected together and then use the older, oddball ones in the front window. Love these lights and possibly the company... or Santa! :) (Gotta give that last star now!)

They are beautiful when lit, but I won't put them up until next year. I don't know how they hold up or what condition they will be in after use.MEILYHG SANTANA VEGAS asked me how long they are, so I unpacked one for you to see in the pics. From one connection to the other, its 9' not counting the plug. I don't know how many successfully work off of one circuit, either. We will see this Christmas and I will update my review.They are absolutely beautiful when plugged up....but, it rained after we put them up. All have moisture inside and the product description says waterproof, dust proof, corrosion resistant, etc. Not true. They rusted inside many filled to the brim with water. 3 don't work. Also, when you put them together, they won't work if twisted on the wrong side. I would connect one at a time turn on and then move on. When put together, take a sharpie and mark on one side to show correct circuit connection. Don't know if they will work after this season. They look bad during the day, but great at night. We are going to drill a small hole in the bottom to release the water....
