Not Like My Old Memory Foam Pillow But Still Great
I originally wrote a 2-Star review here about a month ago talking about how the pillow is too soft, much too light, and bounces back too quickly (compared to my old Tempur pillow) to be memory foam. However, after a month of using it the pillow has turned out great for me. My neck pain which has bugged me since my car accident in January has largely disappeared. I also find the small side of the pillow perfect for a side-sleeper such as myself. I am 5'11", 160 lbs with a slightly longer than average neck. I don't find it too thick for me at all. The production value of this pillow is very high. The case itself is good enough to be worn to formal occasions. The foam doesn't smell much at all coming out of the package, and a quick half an hour in the dryer removes even the faint odor it might have had. The material is much lighter than the older memory foam pillows, but that's probably because the technology has progressed. This makes the pillow much more portable for a frequent traveler such as myself. This pillow has withstood the test of time. Now I am very glad I bought it - it has improved the quality of my sleep. The only nitpick I have is that it's not very wide, so that if you roll around a lot at night you might roll off of it a few times in the beginning.

Best Pillow Ever
I have been a side and/or stomach sleeper all of my 33 years of life. I recently had some upper back and neck issues that required some chiropractor visits and it was recommended that I try sleeping on my back. After looking up some contour pillows, I decided on this one. Very glad that I did! The very first night I fell asleep quickly, on my back, and for the first time ever, woke up in the same position. The difference in how I felt was amazing! I have used this pillow for a week straight and I can honestly say it has been the best week of sleep. The support is perfect (I am an average 5'6" woman, if that helps) for my neck. The tension in my shoulders isn't there anymore when I wake up. While I have been sleeping on my back, a couple mornings I have turned over onto my side to read or watch tv and it is still very comfortable support on the neck and shoulders. I won't be going back to a regular pillow ever again. Even my husband (who has always slept on his back and never had back/neck issues) wants one now.

It took time to get used to it - and worth getting used to
UPDATE: my husband is still using it but I stopped, especially after I've done regular stretching for the neck and shoulder muscles. I barely use any pillow anymore. *** I've been having neck pain for several months now. It didn't go away although my living and "sleeping" conditions significantly improved. I decided to try this pillow, got two for me and my husband. It took me a week sleeping on it to finally say that I like it and will keep it. On the third day it hurt even more than before and my pain seemed to move to my shoulders. But today, after about a week, I woke up with zero pain at all. I will keep updating. Most importantly - I never slept on memory foam pillows, I never paid any attention to my pillows and this is something totally new for me. My husband snores due to sinus problems, and this pillow as I thought seemed to decrease it first couple of days, but then it started again Snoring doesn't bother me, I sleep and don't hear anything. And sinus problems are not supposed to be treated with the pillow, so I don't write my review based on that. Overall, he likes this pillow too. I did a lot of research on different kinds of pillows. No odor and harmful chemicals, firmness, thickness, shape, fabrics and materials it filled in with. In terms of price and quality - this was my best choice.

Love the Memory Foam Neck Pillow
Dear Dr. Samuels, After several x-rays, my husband was diagnosed with cervical disc degeneration. Along with Physical Therapy, he was told to purchase a good cervical pillow. I spent a lot of time looking at many pillows, and reading reviews. When I came across the Contour Neck Pillow, I felt it was exactly what he needed. Lorenzo is blind, so I helped him feel the two rounded ends, one larger than the other. According to the picture, it appears he is to lie with the smaller rounded end under his neck and head. He lies on both back and side. After the first night, he told me that he woke up, for the first time in months, without pain in his neck, shoulders, arms and hands. He is a 75 yr. old man who has been lifting weights his entire adult life, which as you know, contributes to necks problem along with poor posture. I am so impressed with how much better he feels each day, just by sleeping on the Contour Neck Pillow, that on Oct. 25th I ordered one for myself. I am a 58 yr. old, fit woman, but I work at a hospital, and I'm on my feet many hours in the pharmacy. The fatigue starts in my neck, down my back and at times, causes my hands to tingle. X-rays indicated that I have a degenerative lower lumbar and I too once enjoyed heavy weight training. I am thinking about buying two pillows for my parents for Christmas, who are in their late 80’s, and also complain about waking up with back pain. I believe these Contour Neck Pillows would make nice Christmas presents and contribute to a healthier nights sleep. In case anyone asks, I was able to put a Queen-size pillow case over the contour pillow, to protect the very soft cloth, covering the special designed, durable foam. Please let me know the best way to clean the pillows, without breaking down the technology of the foam or the soft fabric covering it. Thank you for caring what your buyers think and feel about this product. If you could design something like this for a guide dog...let us know...they work very hard too :) Debra and Lorenzo
