Also works fine in an HP 470 G10 laptop! Quality good, packaged well.
I was looking for the SATA cable for a friend's new laptop, an HP 470 G10, which has a space for a 2.5 inch SATA drive, and the connector on the motherboard for the cable, but did not include the cable. While this machine came with a 256GB NVMe SSD, she wanted to move a recently purchased 2TB SATA SSD from her old laptop over to act as her "data drive". This cable worked flawlessly for this application. The cable is of good quality, was packaged well in a small cardboard box, and was shipped promptly. It also was a very reasonable $6.95 when I ordered it.I had to move the 90 degree fold in the cable about a 1/4 inch further up the cable as this wasn't the laptop this particular cable was designed for, but with that, it fit and is working fine. Just be gentle when you bend and unbend these flat cables and they will be okay. Don't do any hard pressing that could break the traces in the cable.

Easiest way to add an SSD to your laptop
My HP Pavilion laptop has the m.2 drive but noticed that it also had space for a SSD 2.5 inch drive slot but no way to connect to it.A quick google search shows that you can use this adapter to connect a SATA drive and that’s exactly what I did here.Plug and play install.Recognizes my 1 TB SATA SSD and off for the races.Recommend this to anyone looking to expand their storage or even replace their cable if it’s needing replacement.

Did not connect properly
Per HPs support site, I’ve attempted to add an ssd to a computer that only has a pci drive using the cable number that matches. I’ve initialized the ssd externally as I originally thought that was the issue. It is not getting past POST to access the BIOS. What I expected was for the pci drive to remain the boot and the ssd to be a storage drive. I’m going to attempt to fire up from a usb external (not the ssd) and try to access the BIOS that way. Otherwise it is the cable. It’s a brand new everything on a cs1065cl and boots fine without the ssd installed internally. I’m getting the 5 blinks on the caps lock when the ssd is installed internally. I can hit the f keys, but will not enter the BIOS selection. I’ve tagged the drive with a different letter than the pci. I’m now onto attempting to boot off a usb and change things through that, if possible. $14 and change and several hours of my life I won’t get back. I’ve ordered one that’s supposedly OEM to see if I have better luck.UPDATE: I used a Win 10 boot usb, changed boot order in BIOS successfully. I renamed the ssd, put a couple folders on it and restarted using my pci as boot. I was successful getting this to work properly UNTIL I screwed down the case. This cable is fairly thick and needs to be folded to connect properly. I am assuming at his point, the case pressure is causing the cable to fail as I’m getting the same boot collision and motherboard error as I was prior to reprioritizing boot order. That being said, I cannot in good faith reco this cable for this computer. I am now waiting on the OEM cable to show. I’d already upgraded to 32gb RAM and the ssd was recognized, but the only way it was functional was with the case opened. I also tried to boot off the USB that worked prior when I got the startup error. That was no longer working. The only hardware variable not functional now is the cable. Will attempt a refund.

Worked in HP 470 G9 Laptop
This looked like a fit for my HP 470 G9 and even though it wasn’t listed as compatible, it did fit and has the right number of pins (10). I connected an SSD and it works great. No issues.
