Bones Skate Clean and Lube Maintance Package (Without Skateboard Tool)

Worked great, super easy to use kit. I just used rubbing alcohol as the cleaning agen and the lube works wonders!

I used this kit to clean my skateboard bearings. For the bearings puller tool: Unfortunately, my board is one of the few that uses spacers between bearings, so the bearing pulling tool wasn't as efficient as it could have been. But I was still able to use it to pull out my bearings by putting the tool into the wheel and pushing outwards and up slightly, using the spacer as leverage to pop out the bearing. I also used the tool to pull out bearings without the hindrance of a spacer and it worked perfectly then. This is the first time I've ever tried cleaning my bearings, so I can't speak for other methods, but using this tool was easy and I would consider it a necessity for bearings maintenance. For the bearings cleaning tool: Easy to use, just pop bearings in between each of the spacers on the agitator, add solvent, and shake! It was actually kind of fun to use because it was cool seeing the bearings come out all clean and new looking. I would consider this tool a luxury item; something I would recommend to a friend if they had cash to spare. There are definitely cheaper DIY ways to clean bearings, but this tool is handy, efficient, and so easy to use. For the speed cream: I have Bones Reds Ceramics on my board. On their own, they're exceptional bearings, but I noticed they weren't spinning as long as they used to. I added a drop of speed cream to each bearing and saw a difference, but it didn't return my bearings to their original greatness. I lent it to one of my friends who had a rusty bearing on this board and after adding it, it had a major difference on spin time. Speed Cream isn't a gimmick. It comes in a tiny bottle, like maybe as tall as my pinky finger, but could last awhile since it only needs to be used sparingly. I would consider this a necessity after bearings cleaning just to add that finishing touch.

Ordered this cleaning kit for my daughters Roller Derby skates thinking that for the most part I really didn't need the kit. In reality it turned out to be a great purchase. The bearing puller has become an indispensable tool as Derby wheels tend to be on the hard side and the material is unforgiving. If I had tried to remove them using the axle push thru method as shown on You Tube I'm sure I would have damaged them. I thought the cleaner an to be a bit gimicky too but it turned out to work quite nicely. Filled it up about 1/3 full of 70% isopropyl alcohol shook it up for a minute or two and presto clean bearings. Cleaned two sets, 32 in all and the alcohol is still clean enough for at least another go around. My Daughter pointed out that the "Speed Cream" is in fact not a cream at all but a light lubricating oil. A couple drops in each of the bearings as directed and they are lubed and protected. Overall I'm quite pleased with the purchase and the 10 to 20 dollars saved purchasing these items as a kit. The only thing that would have made this package deal sweeter would have been the addition of a skate wrench. Guess you can't always get what you want, but you get what you need.

My husband wanted this to clean up his longboard, and it seems like it had everything he needed. It definitely got the job done, and his board looks great now! A solid product for anyone looking to clean their longboard.

This is a necessary tool for bearing maintenance. If you have new bearings in your roller skates, in lines or skateboard wheels I suggest that you break them in first 24-48 hours of continual use then remove then and clean them. This will remove any tiny particles of debris f rom them plus remove the grease that most manufacturers apply during assembly. Replace the grease with speed cream or sewing machine oil. You'll definitely will notice a difference in performance and you will prolong the life of your bearings. The only complaint I have with this kit is that it doesn't come with any cleaner/solvent.

When it comes to skateboarding, Bones has always been there for me when I needed help with fixing up my bearings. As a skater for over 8 years, I know who to call when my bearings are acting up. Here they are again, saving the day. For starters, the speed cream is just that. It's the best out there for making your wheels spin faster, making you move faster. The bearing press and pull is amazing. Normally, I'd have to wedge a screwdriver to take the bearings out, often damaging one or the other. This makes life a lot easier for skaters. Especially those who are in competitions. Lastly, the bearing cleaner. This is little work of magic is amazing X2. It holds your bearings on to a metal rod to keep in it in place while the cleaner does it work. Overall, this little mix of goodies is Just what any skater needs to keep on turning. Strip bearings out of wheels with ease. Degrease in isopropyl alcohol over night. Lubricate and ready to skate. So much easier and uses less alcohol than a tub. Alcohol can be reused again. Great simple design.

Makes it super easy to clean your bearings. Worth the cash if you actually skate. I currently have 8 boards, takes about 10 minutes a board to clean. Would take at least 3x the time using things from home or McGyvering something similar.

Bought these following several online reviews and videos on how to clean your wheels and bearings. Very easy to use alongside YouTube videos but the instructions inside are easy enough anyway. A great item whether you skate indoors or outside!

I like the kit, but I bought it for roller skates, so I have to clean bearings in 2 cycles, bit like be perfect for skateboard maintenance
