Vriksasana Groin Hip Brace | Sciatica Support Wrap | Hamstring Compression Sleeve for Men and Women for Pulled Quadriceps Thigh Muscle, Hip Flexor Strain, Bursitis and Arthritis (Right Leg)

I bought this in hopes of it helping severe sciatica caused by the piriformis muscle compressing the sciatic nerve. It does not remove all pain because it is a long healing process and I didn't expect it to be a miracle cure. With this brace I can actually walk again with only minor discomfort as opposed to excruciating pain crippling the use of my right leg. My first day using it, I was able to get through the grocery store without assistance or crouching / stopping to relieve pain before continuing to walk. I was also able to stand and cook a whole dinner. I don't find it to be too hot and it's comfortable to wear, even while sleeping. I assume it's helping because it stabilizes the muscles and keeps nerve irritation to a minimum. I am 5'5", 110 lbs and have no issues with the size as it accommodates a petite frame very well. The instructions say to wrap the waist first but I find it very painful to then reach down to secure the thigh so I wrap the thigh first and it's easier to do minor adjustments once there is some pressure. It's important to understand your underlying problem when deciding whether it's a good product as it may not help all issues, but for my problem the relief is amazing. I still have to be careful but at least I have some mobility to keep up with small children now.

I'd tried one other brace that's very similar to this. Unlike the other, this one works best for right-sided hip/SI/groin issues. The other brace is advertised for use on either side, but when used on the right side, the velcro straps fasten in the back which made it incredibly tricky to get on. This one is also advertised the same, but is designed in reverse so the right side has the straps in front. That said, if you need left hip support, I'd pick a different one. I also found this fits better and doesn't have as much of a rubber/chemical smell. The leg portion doesn't pinch or rub in sensitive areas and the waist strap sits comfortably just below the navel and around the top of the ilium. This doesn't completely eliminate my pain (hip flexor/SI/LBP), but I didn't expect it to. It does provide the stability I was looking for so I'm better able to function and heal.For reference, I'm female, 5'4, 154lbs.

Have been struggling with hip pain for months. Some days I could barely use my right leg. Chiropractor was at a loss and recommended PT & seeing an orthopedist. Out of desperation I bought this brace and it made a real difference on Day 1. My pain has been reduced by 90% over the past few weeks. A couple of weekends ago on Friday afternoon I tripped over a yard decoration and although it did re-aggravate my hip, I know the brace did it’s job as I was back to normal and able to work on Monday AM. It’s lightweight, comfortable and a real value. My only concern is that the Velcro has started losing its grip this week (about 4 weeks in). I still highly recommend this brace!

My doctor says that I have SI joint pain. I thought that this product might support my inflamed muscles. Maybe it does but I don't feel significantly different wearing it. I will say that it is comfortable and easy to use. For the price, it's worth a try.

I have been experiencing some acute pain from sciatica lately. The pain and numbness start from my lower back all the way to the goin. I have been trying to find a brace that offers support and stays put. I tried several groin wraps from Amazon, but they moved around and the materials were way too thin and flimsy to provide enough support. So glad I found his one, it works like a charm! It's not only comfortable to wear but also stays put. The neoprene is also thick enough to generate some heat that reduced my pain!

Item description states it fits a 42 waist or smaller. I have a 38-40 inch waist and it overlaps 1/4", not enough to hold. Item wraps on hip bone, not on waist. So if it is sized for a 42 hip(not Waist), then it only fits those with less than a 36" waist...Also, had trouble getting leg band to be low enough to wrap thigh properly. If I wrapped the hips low enough to reach the upper thigh properly, I would not be able to wrap the upper part at all. The thing is useless, unless you are skinny as hell. Without sufficient wrap, purpose of item is useless...

I was skeptical about how effective this would be. I pulled my hamstring last week and I have been avoid exercising since. This groin wrap has been a live saver! It is thicker than the other neoprene leg wraps I purchased, so it provides more support and compression in the area needed. I am able to exercise (run) again! It is lightweight and does not restrict motions. And I especially love the 3-strap design, which made it so easy to minor adjust the tightness in the hamstring area. The brace also stays in place the whole time while I exercise. Love it!

I ordered the right leg brace for my right hip and leg and was very excited when it arrived. Instructions showed a RIGHT leg brace, but the actual brace was for the LEFT leg. Returned and reordered again for the RIGHT Leg brace. Brace arrived today and, again is a left leg brace. For a minute I thought maybe I wasn't understanding something, but then I saw that the tag inside the brace says "Left Version". It looks like a nice brace and is well made, so it's a shame I'm going to have to now go to another company.
