MICROSOFT B4F00014 Xbox 360® Wireless Controller

I've gamed with almost every gamepad imaginable and never before have I used a controller that is so comfortable and easy to use. The Xbox 360 wireless controller is near flawless. Everything from its button layout to its build quality to its comfort level; it's all just perfect. Never before have my hands wrapped around a controller so naturally. Typically with a controller, you have to make your hands form to the controller in order to access all of the buttons, typically resulting in fingers getting jammed into each other uncomfortably or strecthed out across the controller awkwardly. With the 360 controller, my hands just mold into every angle of the design and my fingers effortlessly wrap around the controller's button layout. The button layout is as follows: Two analog sticks, D-Pad, four face buttons, two triggers, two shoulder buttons, start & back buttons, and the Xbox Guide Button. I'd give the layout and button design a 10/10. Everything is accessible without having to move your hands from the controller and everything has a solid, durable design. The triggers are smooth and glide with the motion of your fingers and are truly perfect. The shoulder buttons work just fine and are easily accessible (these are where the black and white buttons the from Xbox controller S went). The face buttons have great spring to them and don't feel mushy like the Playstation controller. The analog sticks are an 11/10. Compared to the PS controller in which you jam your fingers into each other and trying to correct out the play in the analog sticks, the 360's sticks are awesome; firm, precise, smooth gliding, and simply perfect. The D-Pad is unchanged from the Xbox controller, which wasn't good to begin with. It works and get the job done, but it could be better. The start and back buttons have moved to the middle of the controller and are better off in the center. And last but not least, the Xbox guide button (which needs a paragraph of its own). The Xbox guide button is a feature that is running 24/7 and is implemented straight into the 360 architecture and games. Even in the middle of a game, you can hit the Xbox guide button and access everything from your gamerscore, friend's lists, messages, music, achievements, game invites, etc. It can even take you back to the dashboard without even having to restart the console or remove the disc. When you're done with the dashboard, you just fire the game back up with even leaving the couch. When you want to turn off individual controllers or even turn off the console, simply hit the guide button. Want to turn on the console? Just hit the guide button. It's easily the best feature of the controller. Wireless technology = 10/10 Seamless integration with the console and an incredible stable connection with the console, even through walls, doors, etc; it'll even stay connected through different stories of a house. In over a year's time with the 360 wireless controller, I have NEVER lost my connection with the console. That's right, never. No interference with my wireless network, 2.4 ghz cordless phones, nothing. It is incredible how seamless it is. To connect a controller to a console, turn it on, press the link button on the controller and then the connect button on the console and almost magically, your controller is hooked right up and playing. And once your controller is connected to your console, you never have to link them together again; the next time you turn on your 360, the controller is automatically synched with the 360. If you want to add controllers to your 360, you simply synch them together with the same method that I just mentioned. Want to use your controller on a different 360? Simply synch them together and you're playing. The wireless technology with the 360 and its seamless integration is top-notch. Simply the fact that I will never have to deal with cords again makes the wireless controller more than worth the extra money. But with wireless, you have the issue with charging and batteries... I average about 25 hours per charge with my controller, although intense vibration feedback in games can drop that number down to about 20 hours. I get plenty of charge to last me through a week or two and when I run out of juice, I simply switch out my battery pack with the fresh pack sitting on my quick charge kit. The biggest problem with the wireless controller is the fact that you are literally forced into buying the rechargeable battery pack with the Play & Charge kit or the Quick Charge kit. It's not that big of a deal, but if you think you can get away with AA batteries, this controller will eat them for lunch, especially with rumble. Speaking of rumble, the motors in the 360 controller pack quite a punch and you'll end up paying more in batteries than the mere rechargeable pack costs. Everything from the roar of a machine gun to the light vibration of deflecting a pass to the jolt of a hard impact, everything on-screen is brought to life in your hands with this controller. And no, this isn't the same rumble like the PS2 or Xbox controller. The 360's rumble is more seamlessly integrated into games and serves a much more useful purpose in immersing you within the experience and can create all kinds of varied feedback effects like never before. I'd take this over six degrees of tilt any day. Overall, this controller is near flawless and hands down the best I have ever used. Comfort, wireless precision, durability; this controller packs it all into one sleek little controller.

This is an excellent product. Due to the fact that you can power the controller down through the Xbox dashboard and that it powers down automatically when you turn the console off, batteries and rechargeable battery packs last a really long time. This is especially in comparison to some of the wireless controllers I've used with the PS2. It is also pretty cool that there is a warning system to let you know when the battery power is low. My husband and I have pretty much been Playstation people for the past 7 years so I thought I would have trouble getting used to the new controls. I had no problems at all, it was very intuitive and has a really nice feel. Although, I will say that my left hand hurts after a couple of hours of gameplay since it is not quite used to the new positioning as compared to the PS2 controller. These controllers are slightly heavier than say the PS2 controllers as well, but part of that is due to the batteries/battery pack.

The best console controller I've ever used, by far. The Xbone controller is good, but still not better than the 360 controller. I own five. Three wireless and two corded that I use on my PC. They're all solid, I even have a launch controller that I still use. Be careful using any type of thumbstick grip or extender on the super old controllers though, the rubber on the sticks will tear easily compared to the material they use on the newer versions. I tore up one of my old controller's thumb sticks pretty badly taking my Kontrol Freeks off and putting them back on multiple times. When the Xbone pro controller comes out in October it could surpass this as my favorite, just because of the crazy functionality. But even if something better comes along.. I'll still use this controller for something, I'm sure. It will always be one of my favorites.

This is a sick game controller for the 360, in addition to a different layout of buttons, it now has more colors to choose! This is a 30 ft range wireless controller and there are 14 buttons in all, 2 toggle sticks, 2 bumpers, 2 triggers, 4 colorful buttons and the xbox guide button and start and back buttons. The controller fits very comfortable in your hands and can be connected to a microphone. The controller also has two vibration motors, which makes very realistic vibrations. For example, when driving and you hit a wall, it vibrates just like the real world. The xbox guide button is located in the middle of the controller and lights up green leds to indicate what player you are. The xbox guide button can be pressed during gameplay, so you can chat with someone while your game is loading. The d-pad is very odd, it looks like a entire button, but it's 8 way directional, so i won't be so blunt about this. The controller is very durable, unless you throw it on the ground. I've had the right trigger break, because of my clumsiness. These controllers are fairly priced on amazon.com, 20$ used, so it's a very good deal. The bad part is that the controller is not rechargable, unless you buy a rechargable kit to plug in the front of the controller and plug into the console to save batteries.

This Xbox 360 controller is great. It functions perfectly with no problems. I've always loved the Playstation controllers, so it took a while to adapt to the Xbox 360 controls. The Xbox 360 controller is very sturdy, and the analog controls are accurate and placed far enough from each other so that your thumbs won't bump like they will with the Playstation controllers. This is the best controller to use for first-person shooter games. It's comfortable in your hands and isn't too heavy. There's only two things I would change on this controller: (1)The d-pad. It's accurate at times but when you scroll to the right or to the left, it may scroll up or down. It's not a true d-pad that goes up, down, left, or right. Rather, it's just a d-pad that sits on top of a disc that's not truly accurate. (2) The Xbox 360 guide button that sits in the center of the back and start buttons. Sometime when I'm playing a fast paced game I tend to bump the Xbox 360 guide button because it's so close to the back and start buttons. Maybe this button shouldn't stick out, but sit flush or deep inside the controller so it can't be bumped by mistake when playing games. Besides these two flaws, I personally think this is the best controller ever made.

I order two Xbox 360 Wireless controllers for the Christmas holiday as a gift for my nephew. The product was in excellent condition as the seller described and worked perfectly. However I was under the impression that I would received the merchandise before the 24th of December 2009 based on Amazon's website. Amazon states if you selected the expedited shipment for items you would receive the product before the holiday...totally sham! This seller used USPS and unfortunately I receive the items AFTER the holiday. I was extremely disappointed by the deceitful advertisement Amazon displayed on their site. They claimed that I would get my product at my residence by a specific date, not that the product would be in my city by that date. Overall great seller, awesome product but inaccurate shipping details on Amazon's part. I recommend Amazon require all sellers to use Fed Ex, DHL or even UPS for all expedited, overnight, or 2-day shipments instead of charging customers for rush packages when their using regular USPS. Or at least make sellers display what transporters they use to ship merchandise.

... you need to add these to your system. Not much to say other than Wireless on the 360 is done most excellently. These controllers are great. I use rechargeable AA batteries in place of the disposable ones and in place of the rechargeable battery pack. I have played with the disposable batteries and notice nothing different in the way of controller performance. Try out the rechargeable AA batteries and a fast charger. I think you'll find that you have more flexibility for the money. My experience on the charge retention has been good. I play a great deal of games with a lot of vibration feedback. My batteries last for a good long time. If you go the way of rechargeable batteries, make sure you get AA batteries with a high milliamp rating. Consider the controllers to be as power hungry as a digital camera (although they aren't) and you'll be good to go.
