Protect-A-Bed, Premium Cotton-Terry Mattress Protector, Waterproof, 5-sided, Queen

We had this on our mattress for almost 10 years, when we got rid of the mattress took the cover off the mattress looked like it just came from the factory. These things are wonderful, protecting the bed no staining no sweat through, nothing highly recommend you get one of these to protect what it is now turning out to be a quite a costly investment, new mattresses aren't cheap. We of course bought another one for our new mattress.

The fit is perfect and it seems to be of good quality. So far, it has held up very well.

These bed protectors work great!!! They do the exact same as the very expensive name brand protectors. I’ve bought many for different beds!!! I haven’t had a dirty mattress yet!

The quality is not as good as the old, Protect A Bed Premium cotton Terry Elite" mattress protector. But, it's good enough, so far. The old material felt superior and more durable. We will see how long this one lasts. Fit is still very good though.

I originally purchased this item when I bought a brand new mattress. I happened to be pregnant at the time and the salesman sold me when he said, "What if your water breaks on your brand new mattress? This will help." The price was outrageous, but I bought it anyway. Four years later, it melted in the dryer. I didn't replace it right away, thinking I didn't really need it. But I had red sheets, my son got a couple of overnight bloody noses, and my husband's allergies got worse. In the year I didn't have the Protect-A-Bed covering my mattress, it got a little gross. I love my mattress (a 17" pillow-top on both sides, Stearns & Foster beauty I picked out of the back clearance room at the mattress shop) and I did want to protect it. So I decided to cough up the dough to buy a new Protect-A-Bed, and I'm happy to say there are some good deals on Amazon (like a third of what I paid at the mattress shop). I know that even if I wash and dry this with towels, it will probably wear out in another 4 years. But then I'll probably buy a new one. The price wasn't too steep and I as I said, I really love my mattress. I haven't had any other issues with this product other than the melting-in-the-dryer debacle. Although there is a lining to it, I don't notice any noise as I toss and turn. I don't know if this is actually waterproof or if the company will back up their guarantee. But I really like this product because my mattress is staying clean and it makes me sleep better at night. Also, because my mattress is so huge, having the Protect-A-Bed on it actually helps the sheets stay on better. Win!

We have owned a Protect-A-Bed Premium Mattress Protector since we purchased our new mattress when we got married, two and a half years ago. At first we were a little put off by the price, seeing as how we could have purchased another brand for at least half the price. The retailer ensured us that it was the best mattress protector on the market; and we have come to agree with him. First of all, we didn't want a bulky mattress protector that would change the feel of the very nice mattress we had just purchased. And we didn't want something that would make us sweat, or would crinkle, or any of the other annoying characteristics generally associated with mattress protectors. We did, however, want something that would protect our mattress, so that it would remain under warranty. We also wanted something that, in turn, would protect us. We have found ourselves to be so pleased with the Protect-A-Bed Premium mattress protectors that we have purchased one for every bed in our house. The top cover is a small weave cotton terry cloth fabric, which is backed by a polyurethane film, which is waterproof and breathable and acts as a protective barrier (for both you and the mattress). The sides are a stretchable cotton that fits the mattress snuggly, allowing no indication that it is there once the sheet is on the bed. If you're looking for a mattress "pad". This product is not for you. If you're looking for "undectable" peace of mind. This product is for you. UPDATE: We have had our Protect-A-Bed Mattress Protector for nearly 12 years. I still HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. I am attaching a photo of the first mattress protector I purchased from Protect-A-Bed with an image of our 12-year-old mattress. I still believe, with proper care, the Protect-A-Bed mattress protectors protect your mattress. Since our first purchase of a Protect-A-Bed mattress protector in 2004, I have purchased two for each of our beds, because I hang them to dry. Once when my daughter was very little, and I only had one for each of our beds, I washed hers and put it in the drier. As other reviewers have mentioned, the polyurethane bubbled up and shredded. I contacted the company and they sent me a new mattress protector. Let me say, we do not have pets crawling around on our beds whose nails may poke holes in the mattress protector. This may void your warranty. And since having the issue with the polyurethane bubbling and shredding in the dryer, I only hang them to dry. But they still work for my family and I hope you find what works best for yours.

Arrived timely and works well. Bought this to replace the one I originally bought which lasted for years. Protects great.

Fits well and seems to be of good quality. Only time will tell (spotless mattress) if it's as good as the one on our at-home bed, but it seems to be great!

i already purchased this brand protect-a-bed premium cover when i bought my mattress 10yrs years ago. It lasted as indicated for 10yrs and now i purchased another one. Quality is very good . i do recommend this product strongly.

The mattress protector has a long life, washes & dries like new. This is our second purchase of this product as the first one finally (after 15 years) needed replacement. We have just purchased another for our vacation property.
