Great lock
These locks are excellent.

Good solution but important to understand.
Great for pedestrian gates that are intended for security. Automatically locks each time it closes. Unlatches easily from both sides with key only. If you want to copy the key, you will need to go to a ace hardware or locksmith. Lowe's & home Depot can't copy it, many of them use a computer based cutting system now. Because the key is longer in profile and it has 6 pins. I had to order the blanks ahead of time for the ace hardware that I used. All in all, it was the only solution for a vinyl gate.

Useless
The dog busted out of this heavy duty lock 3 times. If people do not lock the door with the key, the gate does not latch and can easily be pushed open. Buyer beware.

product much improved last one lasted over twenty years

Replacement or refund
worked well for a few months but now has broken. I really have to slam the door shut. It intermittently pops open would like a replacement or refund

PLASTIC , cant tell from pictures and dosent mention it .It sucks and doesnt work . Big waste of 100.00 dollars !

Great gate lock
I self installed this lock for our building. Works great. However, an important thing to note is that in the instructions, it indicates a 1/2 inch drill bit is needed, but a 1/2 inch is still too small for the rod tube.
