Simple and reliable vehicle for meds that one needs in suspension.
I live in a small community and I use this to give Meloxicam to our pets after pills are crushed. Good for mixing crushed up pills into if the patient can't really swallow pills (both humans and animals). Can be compounded by a lab/pharmacy tech and person with appropriate training. Also could be done with pills just before taking. Just know what you're doing. Simple, buffered suspension that tastes like nothing. One can add some sweetness or color if needed just before dosing. I've also seen this used at a local pet rescue. Very simple and straightforward suspension vehicle at a reasonable cost.

Allows me to maintain my dogs health
I've been using this product 2-3 times a day for 3 months. I have a senior dog (23) and he is on a few meds. A mix of capsules, pills, and a liquid. My vet says there is no interaction and he can take them at the same time. I was crushing and mixing them with water just before administering. He did not like the taste. We used to have a honorable drug professionally compounded to make it palatable. So I did some research, and consulted with my Vet. I mix his dosages individually as needed. I don't trust myself to make "batches". At his age and condition, I can't take the risk. Besides, it only takes a little over a minute to weigh, crush, and mix each time. I will premix a dose or two if we're traveling.

Must-have for mixing meds
We work in Songbird rehab so we needed a product that would allow us to create our own strength of medication for our patients. This product is perfect! It provides the right consistency for ease of administration, and keeps the product in a suspension.

This stuff tastes pretty bad but definitely works well
This stuff tastes pretty bad but definitely works well. The taste is tolerable... Just not good. I supposed that could be fixed with a mixture of some sort of flavoring of your choice.

Perfect for suspending crushed pills for pet medications
To save money I had to start compounding my pets' medications at home when possible. I get the tabs from the vet or buy powders online and use this suspension to avoid them sinking to the bottom of the bottles or getting uneven doses of medications. For my rats I use diluted pancake syrup or strawberry syrup for flavor and they eat it right up. They get their full doses, and I get healthy rats. Win-win. I pour some into a 2oz bottle and use a press in adapter with an oral (no needle) syringe to measure out what I need without spilling or wasting any. If you can get a 26mm adapter you can use it right on the bottle itself. I tried a 24mm but it was a hair too small and almost fell in when a syringe was inserted.

Works perfectly!
I mix my own meds for my Shih Tzu. It does not require a medical degree to do, only some basic math skills, and it save a lot of money!
