Great stories! 9 year old reader loves them!
These are a favorite in our house. My daughter read them first, and her younger brother soon followed. He’s working his way through the series after first reading the graphic novels. I loved that I could find a used copy at a great price because this was a replacement copy for one he lost from a boxed set.

Everything about this book was AMAZING, FUN, AWESOME - think of more good adjectives?
My Thoughts: Yay! I finally get to review one of the Wings of Fire books, because most of the time my brother, Oscar, insists on reviewing them.Anyways, I just love these books. The characters are hilarious, the writing fun and easy, the mystery incredible, and everything else about it amazing. I loved hearing about the NightWings and how Sutherland eases the reader slowly into the dragon's world of war and shows us a little more of the mystery with each book. (Mystery being with the NightWings, RainWings, Blister, the prophecy, and the replacement dragonets...). Glory's POV was one I have waited for for a LONG time (OK, I've a waited for all of them, but who wouldn't want to hear about Starflight, or Sunny, or Tsunami, or.... ALL OF THEM) and it didn't disappoint. Her character was spot-on, and we finally got to learn a little bit more about her feelings towards being a RainWing. Blaze was hilarious - exactly the opposite of her sisters, kind of like a mix between Sunny and Queen Red Riding Hood from the Land of Stories - and Queen Glacier left me curious and intrigued about her character. (As a side note, I'm still confused about why there isn't an IceWing dragonet. It doesn't mention it in the prophecy - maybe the author added it in to show how flawed the prophecy really is? I don't know. Has anyone else realized this?) The end of the book, with SPOILER, Glory trying to become queen, was awesome, too.Pretty much every about this book, this series, was amazing, fun, rolling on the floor with laughter, PERFECT. :)

so uhm yeah pls read :D
anyways im a young person and i am very obsessed with this series and i carry books everywhere with me. so uh im currently on book 4 and I finished this book after a few days or maybe a week or so and here’s one thing the series is quite gory and stuff and violent and it describes the injuries and death. i liked book 3 mostly bc of the fact that (spoiler alert :D) glory became queen and apparently in book 4 is when she saves the missing RainWings from the NightWings by turning her tribe into an army 😭 anyways yeah good book would recommend :D

My Fave!
So far, this is my favorite book in the series. It really gets deeper into the story of Glory and the Rainwings. Some themes in this book deal with taking action to make a positive difference and dispelling stereotypes. I highly recommend this book in the entire series.

Five Stars!
I've been looking for a book about dragons. Not dragon riders, dragon slayers, or a girl who get's sent to a dragon's lair by her Aunt. I wanted a book about dragons. However, when I found this series, I didn't expect it to be any good. I was proved wrong. This book is in the point of view of Glory the RainWing. In a world where the dragon tribes are at war, a prophecy has been delivered. Five dragonets will come and stop the war. A SeaWing, a SandWing, a MudWing, a NightWing, and a SkyWing. They were to hatch on the brightest night, and, in their eighth year, stop the war.Glory sometimes feels like the odd one out. After all, it wasn't supposed to be a RainWing in the prophecy, it was supposed to be a SkyWing. And, to top it off, RainWings are consitered lazy and useless by the rest of the tribes. The other tribes think that RainWings are like the decoration of Pyrrhia. They don't really do anything but sit around, sleep, eat fruit, and look pretty.Glory feels differently. She knows that their color changing scales can make them invisible. She knows that RainWings have a black poison in their fangs, able to melt scales and kill any dragon it comes into contact with. Her hopes are dashed when she sees that RainWings really are lazy, don't use their poison, and pretty much only use the scales to try and show off. In fact, RainWings are too lazy to count their eggs. No one even knew Glory was missing. However, she begins to get angry when she is told that RainWings have been vanishing for the past year, and no one has done anything about it, except one single dragon. The one who told her. So, of course, Glory has to do something about it.This book is even better than The Lost Heir. We get a different view of Glory other than the grumpy, moody dragonet we saw in the other books, and we also see she has a good reason why she's like that. We also have a couple of interesting new characters; Mangrove, the mate of one of the missing RainWings, Jambu, Glory's enthusiastic big brother (who happens to almost always be a shade of bright raspberry pink), and Kinkaju, one of the missing dragons, who befriends Glory.I didn't have any problems with this book, and it's also less bloody than the last two. No fights to the death in an arena, no dragon getting their teeth ripped out, no dragon getting stabbed with a SandWing tail. Good, solid read.

Enjoyable continuation to this wonderful story
This was a pleasure to read along with my son, one to two chapters each evening. I found myself having to hold back from continuing the chapters alone, the story’s progression was extremely captivating. We can’t wait to start book 4 tomorrow night!

4.5 action packed stars
This series is engaging and addictive , I started reading to see if my son would like it, then discovered other kids his age reading it too and am loving the conversations I can have with them about this series and all the things they love about it.I must admit I’m really enjoying it too!Book 3 is focused on glory the rain wing and her self discovery of who and what the rain wings stand for (or don’t stand for ) and how she fits into their tribe. With an added element of mystery and plenty of action it makes for a great installment to this series.

Tardado pero en buen estado.
Así como sus números pasados, muestras a detalle cómo un reino distinto a los otros lleva sus actividades día con día.Aún cuando tomó su tiempo en volver a surtirse, llegó en tiempo y en muy buenas condiciones.
