How many actual treats are in the bag?

The bag I received had less. My 12 ounce bag had maybe 12 sticks. Disappointed

How many sticks sre in each bag?

12 long sticks. My dog is about the size of a small beagle and I figured the stick would be too much for her so I break them in half to make it 24 sticks

Do these actually work. I buy other stuff they say works but it really doesn't?

I was skeptical. We have 2 Akita/Shepherd mixed breeds who get very nervous and frantic with thunderstorms. We’ve used 1/2 the recommended amount with them twice now. They both calmed down and went to sleep during the storms. So for our dogs, they definitely work.

How long before a stressful event should the treat be given?

I would say at least 30 minutes, however for a dog that maybe sort of edgy anyway or that may encounter a range of trigger stacking events. A daily dose of a calming supplement will help far more. I didn’t notice a difference when I used these. I switched to the daily calming bites and have noticed a difference in stress reactions in my dog. Enough so that most of the time she stays under threshold so I can work on training instead of adverse reactions.
