I’m remodeled my bathroom and we used this to build the niche. Not too big and not too small, just right.

This fits perfectly between the wall studs and ensures a perfectly shaped niche that cannot leak. It was easy to tile up to but tiling inside was a bit trickier! Once finished, the look is professional!

Great product. Easy installation. One note for first time installers...there is a slant (for water run off) in the openings. Take that into account when adding whatever tile/backsplash you're putting in there as it could be a bit steep for heavier items you'll want to put in there.

This niche looked ok but not as quality as one's I have used in the past. For starters it doesn't sit flush with the backer, it mounts over backer causing about a quarter inch rise in the surface. I can work around that. Then half way through the day today, after installing tile yesterday, the tile started falling off. I have never experienced this with any other niche. I used the recommended thinset when installing. Very unhappy with this product. Definitely do not recommend it to anyone else.

Sturdy plastic insert that fit between two 2x4 studs 16” on center. I bought a dozen stainless steel screws to eliminate possibility of rusting. Since this insert is seamless, it eliminates the problem of water leaking through imperfect joints when you kludge together a solution using green board or cement board. Honestly, the cost of thos insert is cheaper than having the handyman build one on the spot. The standard large bottles of shampoo and conditioner fit easily in the large shelf. All in all, highly recommended.

Thought I’d save some time rather than going to the tile shop. It’s a good product, sturdy. Nice. and if you’re struggling to cut cement board it will be good for u, just note it installs OVER the cement board, not to be cut around it. This means u will have a small, not completely level wall. (Vs cementing in one) Tip: Also remember to measure before you install so it aligns with your tile. I screwed this up because I assumed it inserted in and that was my fault, but if you’re diy’ing you’ll be fine with it.

The colour added a great accent to my shower.
