A little bent in shipping, but works perfectly!
The media could not be loaded. After receiving the item in a somewhat bent/damaged condition, I am happy to report it works and works really well! The mounting tab at the top was bent pretty badly in shipping, but I figured I would give it a go anyway before I contacted anyone to complain about it as it is not exactly something to display itself. I straightened the tab and proceeded to wire it up to approximate 65 ft of LED strip lights wired in parallel and attached to a Lutron Diva magnetic low voltage dimmer. I am super happy with the results! It stays cool to barely warm to the touch after installing it in a closet. I have had it powered on for almost 12 hours straight without any hint of a temperature problem. I was nervous about it being a fire risk based on other reviews I saw, but have zero concerns now. The dimmer functions flawlessly with the driver and the LEDs stay cool to the touch. I have absolutely smooth control of the lighting from almost complete darkness to bright as daylight. There isn't even a perceptible hum like other reviews I've read, it is silent! I cannot be happier!

These are Great!
I have bought multiple versions of this from the 40 watt powering LED strips under shelves to 150 watt powering low voltage landscape lighting. They have been working great. They are super sturdy, silent, because they don't have a fan, and act as their own junction box. I haven't noticed considerable heat in-lieu of the fan either. The junction box space inside is small, on all versions, but if you cut the wires the right length, and are mindful in how you arrange and bend them, you will get them all in. I bought them for their dimming capabilities. I use them all with GE Enbrighten Z-Wave dimmer switches. They go through the brightness range of the led's smoothly and do not flicker.

Works as promised, smooth operating, sturdy metal box
replaced old 300W incandescent transformer previously used with 12V incandescent (yellowish) accent lights to use with new LED (3000k) tape lights and Lutron magnetic wall dimmer switch. Be sure to look at installation video and be sure to purchase the 1/2" cable clamps to secure the cables inside the metal punch out holes so you comply with virtually any electrical codes. The 20ft LED tape lights I used were the the inexpensive kind that came with their own dimmer and plug/transformer (but I cut those off) and connected to a wall controllable Lutron Magnetic wall switch. (check Hitlights compatible wall switch chart)

Works great, easy to install
I recently picked up one of these to run our under-counter LED strips. The main reason I got this model was because it supports dimming directly from an AC wall switch instead of requiring a custom DC dimmer like most other transformers. On that front, it works perfectly! I have it hooked up to a Leviton LED dimmer and it works perfectly. As far as the installation goes, this was very simple. It has 5 wires: 3 for the AC power (standard black, white, and green for ground), and 2 for the LED light strip. It's setup so all the wiring connections can be made inside the Hitlights box instead of requiring an additional box to hide connections. Getting it wired really only took a few minutes.Although this works perfectly, I do have a one complaint:The box is supported at the top by 2 screw holes. That's great for vertical hanging; but, since I wanted to hang it horizontally under the cabinet, I had to drill an additional hole inside the box so it wouldn't droop. On top of that, there are some dimples on the back of the box that make it impossible to mount it 100% flush. There is about 1/8" gap at the bottom because of those dimples. I guess I could have cut them off; but, it seemed like too big of a hassle...Overall, I would highly recommend this if you're looking to add dimmable under-counter LED lighting. It seems odd that there are so few products out there that support dimming from a wall switch.

Excellent unit for LED lighting projects
I purchased this for my undercabinet kitchen lighting project. It has been over 1 year and the unit (and my lights) is going strong. I am highly satisfied.

Works with Lutron Caseta
I'm using this to power outdoor Hampton Bay LED landscape lights. I control the transformer with a Lutron Caseta wall dimmer, which is scheduled with the Lutron Hub and App. This transformer works perfectly. Dimming is very smooth with no flickering. The transformer is very quiet - you can only hear a faint hum if you get close to it.I purchased the 150 watt transformer to power approximately 100 watts in total LED fixtures. Always buy a larger transformer than you require. National Electrical Code requires a 20% safety margin, so 120 watts is the most you should load a 150 watt dimmer.

Lessons learned that might help
This thing is a beast. One of the most powerful drivers on the market but there are some gotchas that I discovered along the way. So here’s my little lesson that will hopefully help you out.1. Don’t overload the driver. The one I bought was rated for 300 watts and the Electric guidance I’ve seen says never to put more than 80% load on a transformer. So that means 240w for this 300w driver.2. Calculate your load and buy correct wiring. Talk to an electrician, watch videos, read all the instructions and safety manuals. Basically, this driver converts 110volts (600w) down to 12 volts, which means that the wires are carrying 20-30 amps. That’s an enormous amount and requires a wire gauge that is at 10-14. NOT the standard dc 24g wires you might use in hobby projects.3. Put it away, somewhere with ventilation. When I wired mine up it hummed like nobodies business. That’s normal sometimes but can also be an indication of being incorrectly wired. Make sure you use wiring meant for in-wall ratings, or just hire a professional for installation.4. If the internal fuse/breaker pops you wired it wrong. Get professional help or you risk burning down your house.
